Rocketing out of the Irish music underground, the DJ/producer Rebūke is readying the release of his debut studio album, ‘World of Era.’ In this exclusive commentary, he talks about making the album, offering insights into how the music and concepts align. Of the track “Ignite,” which features Antiguan singer Au/Ra, Rebūke believes it is “the emotional anchor of the whole album,” describing the song as being “about love emerging from the darkness.” Elsewhere, deadmau5 and Ed Graves collaborate on “Endless,” and video game composer P.T. Adamczyk assists on a couple of songs, including “Chaos.” Heavily distorted, that track “is not meant to be a comfortable record,” Rebūke explains. “It’s reflective of our times.” Listen now, only on SoundCloud.
