The giggling, quacking, chuckle of Southern Leopard Frogs that make them sound like little imps of the swamp... it makes me smile whenever I hear it.

High above and beyond the giggling Leopard Frogs and loud, creaking Cajun Chorus Frogs, the soft peeps of Spring Peepers float in the distance

It may be three species of frogs active in this small pond, but I hadn't imagined that their chorusing would seem to spur each other on. The Leopard Frogs continue giggling and rubbing between choruses of Cajun Chorus Frogs and Spring Peepers, but they do seem to get worked up and more vigorous when the others are calling. Is it interspecies chorusing?

A herd of red cows approaching us from front and passing by on a warm September noon of 2019 at the hills of Southern Urals. Lots of energetic mooing, shepherd shouts and whistles, some birds chirping and moderate wind. I love this recording for its brutal and raw energy.

For a long time I wanted to record a really surrounding, enveloping and moving wind through reed. I found the perfect conditions at the forest lakes in Karelia. This track sounds like some witches are chattering around, whispering their spells.

Compulsion Games sent me into Southern swamps and wilderness to record swamp ambiences, insects, frogs, and birds for their upcoming game South of Midnight. This is just a taste of what I got to listen to...

Diverse, constant midnight frog voices dominated by the chuckling-quack of Southern Leopard Frogs and creaking ratchet of Cajun Chorus Frogs with background Spring Peepers.
Amazingly, this is just an excerpt from a 10 hour non-stop giggling frog fest.
