The AK74 Silenced Sound is the sound of the AK-74 with an attached silencer (suppressor). It is an assault rifle designed by small arms designer Mikhail Kalashnikov in 1974. While primarily associated with the Soviet Union, it has been used by many countries since the 1970s. It is chambered for the 5.45×39mm cartridge, which replaced the 7.62×39mm cartridge of Kalashnikov’s earlier automatic weapons for the Soviet armed forces. The rifle first saw service with Soviet forces in the Afghanistan conflict from 1979. The head of the Afghan bureau of the Inter-Services Intelligence, the intelligence agency of Pakistan, claimed that America’s Central Intelligence Agency paid $5,000 for the first AK-74 captured by the Afghan mujahideen during the Afghan-Soviet War. As of 2021, most countries of the former Soviet Union use the rifle.

The AK74 Silenced Sound Construction Kit demonstration uses 3 combined “OneShot” + ”Loop” + ”Stop” sounds, then 4 random “OneShot” + ”Stop” sounds. All the sounds in this preview as in the library, without processing. Also, our Unity and Unreal Engine projects use these files. For the library we used real field recordings of Ka-52 Alligator helicopter. The Ka-52 Alligator SFX sound library contains 37 high-quality helicopter engine sounds and about 30 weapon sounds. The weapon sounds include the firing of the 2A42 autocannon, the launch of single light rockets, and the launch of rocket salvos consisting of eight or more rockets. These diverse audio effects add to the immersive and dynamic combat experience. Using them together, your Alligator comes to life!

You can also find a ready-made solution for UNITY platform – Ka-52 Alligator Helicopter: Sound System + Flight Model and for UNREAL ENGINE – Ka-52 Alligator Helicopter: Sound System + Flight Model. It contains all necessary code for reproducing the sounds of the Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter depending on engine RPM, main and tail rotors RPM, helicopter’s speed, yaw, thrust, and the distance from the helicopter to the listener. Moreover these projects also implement a fully controllable advanced flight model of the Ka-52 Alligator. Thus, you can control the helicopter using the keyboard or game controller.
