Solonoid Studio's 1st official demo for the Brad Hoyt Harp Guitar library is a naked mix, featuring only sound from this library itself. A harp guitar is an acoustic guitar with additional courses of harp strings.  This particular custom model, titled the "Arpa Viola Caipira", is the result of a four year design and construction process with master luthier Stephen Sedgwick from the U.K, based on Brad Hoyt's exacting specifications. It has a pair of 10-string hars (high and low ranges), as well as a 10-string fretted guitar section. We captured this 30-string instrument in our studio up close and dry, with a wide stereo pair of large diaphragm studio Neumanns, this library captures every nuance of the instrument with a full set of articulations and effects to provide you complete playability. We give you deep round robin variation per note, true legato slides, auto-strumming and chord sequencing, arpeggiation, custom string tuning and tons of features. It includes over 11.8 GB of content and more than 4200 samples, a powerful custom GUI for customized work-flow and instant guitar gratification.

Shaun Chasin's official demo for Zitherette is a dressed mix, using a combination sounds from this library and others.

This enchanting little instrument is a simple 8-string fretless zither, roughly 12 x 20 inches in size. Zithers are a broad family of hollow-bodied string instruments common throughout all of Europe and Asia. Variants range from the dulcimer to the Koto, with countless other ﬂavors unique to each region and culture. Common to each of them is the arrangement of multiple strings over a neck-less soundbox. The oldest known variant of the zither family dates back to 4th century B.C China. Our particular hand-held zither has a smooth, dark tone, with a clean biting attack and long, natural decay. At it's softest, it has a pristine, almost harp-like sound, while the hardest notes bend deeply at the attack, with a pronounced twang. We chose a pluck articulation and captured it very close and dry, in wide stereo.

As always, we’ve packed our custom user interface with lots of great sound-shaping controls that give you the ﬂexibility to warp the shape in many ways. You have control over Volume Swell, Attack, Release, Transient Offset, Vibrato, Filters, Tuning, articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more.

This excellent and dramatic cinematic piece for the Street Erhu by Brad Halverson weaves dark and light elements together, with heavy percussion and full orchestration.

Paul Amos crafted this outstanding demo for the Soundiron Struck Grand library. This alternate version of his piece uses the "Struck Piano" preset as the lead instrument. 

The Struck Grand is a deep and comprehensive tuned string percussion library built on a classic Steinway 1926 Model L parlor grand piano. Brad Halverson - The Machinist

Diego Guzman’s official demo is a dressed mix using sounds from Bizarre Sitar blended with other libraries.

The Bizarre Sitar may not seem so strange at first glance. It has most of the elements found on any other sitar, with it's traditional gourd body, both main playable strings and sympathetic resonating strings, parda (adjustable curved frets), kunti (tuning pegs), dandi (neck), ghoraj (main bridge) all complete with orante hand-painted accents. At just over 24" in length, however, this little beauty is barely half the size of a standard sitar. Simply being small isn't bizarre by any means, but what is bizarre is how it can achieve such a lush, full-bodied sound while being so small. Intended as more decoration than instrument, we feel this little guy has been highly underestimated. Although soft-spoken and possessing fewer strings than normal (5 main and 6 sympathetic), all this "baby" sitar needed was someone to listen closely. And we did. Very close.

The Bizarre Sitar includes chromatic plucks as well as strumming articulations. Two main strumming tunings are included, a fifth and octave/unison. An onboard "Speed" slider (MIDI assignable and defaulted to the modwheel) allows you to sculpt the speed of the individual strum from very tight, fast strums to slower, plucky strums. The unison articulation was tuned with strings in unison and in several octaves to give a very full sound. The fifth articulation was tuned with strings in unison and in fifths, similar to the Pancham-Kharaj tuning popularized by Ravi Shankar. By recording several different strumming speeds for both the fifth and the unison strumming articulations, this library allows you to create realistic sounding strums by adjusting the speed in real-time. The strums are tuned and spread across the entire keyboard, providing deep, droning sounds in the low end and sharp, mandolin-like plucks in the high end.
