The Beat Machines get together once again at Soundlot Studios to work on a remix for Juanes’ new single “La Señal”.

The Soundlot’s very own engineer/producer Lester Mendoza and the rest of The Beat Machine producer team Jimi Barrz, David Rolas and Bobby Castro take on the exciting task of working on a dance remix for Grammy winning artist Juanes. Along with talented musicians Cesar A. Vergara and members of reggae roots band “Quinto Sol”, the team combines a sweet blend of electro-house pop music with a touch of dub reggae breakdowns to originate not just any remix, but later becoming Juanes’ official remix which has made its way to club and radio stations across the globe.

Electric Soul Co. is a band composed of three individual musicians, each with their own unique musical background, knowledge, and experience. With influences ranging from Rock, Blues, Funk, old school R&B, to Jazz and anything else that catches their ear, the band establishes a fresh, multidimensional sound that has something to offer for every music fan.

The group was formed around 2009 when the three members started getting together for jam sessions. Soon after, original material came forth and Electric Soul Co. was born.

Beautiful and talented violinist Esther Anaya gets together with our very own Lester “Trakshun” Mendoza to compose a very different and new take on dance music.  The session at the Soundlot consisted of Lester on the beats, Jorge Anaya on keyboards and Esther Anaya on violin. Together they whipped up an exciting new blend of a house pumping synth beat topped with classical violin parts to give this club banger a luxurious feel.

LA native Daniel Cast knows a thing or two about writing songs that appeal to the masses. In his up and coming debut album “Good Changes”, Daniel has ten songs with serious marketing potential. “I wanted to make songs that could be played on the radio, movies, T.V. or in car or iPod”. The album is a fluid mix of many of his musical influences: with shades of acoustic soul over live instrumentation; the music has a smooth feel to it with pop songwriting that will grab listeners.

All of his songs were written with nothing more than his guitar and his life-long experiences. He prides himself on writing lyrics that are relatable; that the common man would appreciate and understand. “It’s important for me to write a song that people enjoy listening to and will appreciate later when they come to the realization of what I’m really trying to say”. Born and raised in rock, ill, moved out to Los Angeles in 03′. I ate a lot of Run DMC, Beastie Boys, and Too Short as a child, along with many a side dish of Metallica, Bob Marley/Dylan, and The Beatles. Then I washed it down with a tall glass of Ice T with Ice Cube. I developed quite an appetite, so I started fixing up a few recipes myself. At age 10 I went to C.A.P.A. (Creative and Performing Arts) school. There I learned to play the violin… as a guitar. Then I got a real guitar, sampler, keyboard, and computer. I started producing my own beats, and then I started rapping. Now Im 3 albums deep, all while graduating college and supporting myself and my 8 kids. Just kidding… about the kids part.

I’ve been on a high school tour for the last 2 years where I have performed over 150 shows at all different types of schools in the L.A area. I also made a video that was featured on Myspace, a t.v. show in Canada called Aux.tv, and a website called Rapdirt.com. The song is called “All the Same” and it attacks racial injustice. My instrumentation is cinematic and my lyrics are cerebral.

I have a song called “H.U.N.G.R.Y” that has over 100 food-related metaphors (its rare that this medium is well done). I also have a song in 3/4 time signature called “I can & I will”; something that has never been done in hip hop before. I can rock a crowd from 5 to 65. I have club hits, anthems, and sentimental songs, all written, recorded, and produced by me. I am ready to take my music to the highest level. I have many new ideas for songs, videos, tv shows, competitions, and even organizations. All I need now is support from you, for i cant do everything by myself.

Born to Iranian immigrants in Northern California’s diverse East Bay, Ashkon is truly a multi-dimensional artist. A rapper, singer/songwriter and actor, his talent and appeal extend beyond those of your traditional performer. In 2006 Ashkon jumped onto the Bay Area hip-hop scene with his epic debut record The Final Breakthrough.

Assembled almost entirely by the Bay Area production team Pailboy, the album is as eclectic musically as it is lyrically. The album’s first single, “Hey Keezy,” features Ashkon’s former students, the children of Howard Elementary School (Oakland, CA). The album also includes his first regional hit, the “510 (remix),” a collaboration with Oakland heavyweights Mistah FAB and Boots Riley (of The Coup).

Ashkon relocated to Los Angeles in January of 2007. In a matter of months he compiled the Speaks Louder Than Words mixtape, which was hosted by one of LA’s most respected DJs, DJ Strong. Speaks Louder Than Words showcases Ashkon’s versatility as well as his undeniable MC skills.

In 2008 Ashkon generated a great deal of buzz with his hilarious, yet helplessly infectious track, “Hot Tubbin’ (On the Late Night).” The video for the song became a viral sensation on YouTube, receiving more than 500,000 plays to date, thrusting Ashkon onto the cusp of the mainstream music world.

Ashkon kept busy over the past couple years, performing his campy crowd pleaser along with his already dynamic stage show at a number of notable California Venues (Ruby Sky, The Independent, The Roxy, The Viper Room, and The Key Club, to name a few). Known for his honest, eccentric stage presence, Ashkon uses a blend of strait forward hip-hop lyricism, with soulful singing, and live musicianship, giving him widespread cross genre appeal.

Ashkon just completed a new mixtape called In The Booth, set for release October 2010, and has most recently become the voice of the Official San Francisco Giants 2010 Playoff Anthem. The video is currently taking the internet by storm.

"Adiccion" is a quartet based out of Southern California boldly making a name in the Regional Mexican genre. The group came together in 2011 and quickly gained fans across the entire Westcoast all the way down to Mexcio. Through constant touring and headlining stages they have obtained great notoriety for their original compositions, such as: "Amame, "No te Esperare" and "No Eras Para Mi".

Although this young quartet has been known as Adiccion for a short time, these talented musicians have been known around the Regional Mexican circuit for quite some time. Accompanying grand names such as Jenni Rivera, Joan Sebastian, brothers Lupillo and Juan Rivera to name a few, these musicians will be sure to make a name for themselves as great performers and songwriters. Their talent for great songwriting combined with their high energy performances has fortified their reputation as one of the hottest up and coming "bandas" in the genre.

Los Dueto Voces del Rancho (Spanish: The Two Voices of the Ranch) is a Mexican norteño band. The norteño band consists of a duet that has Edgar Rodriguez and Mariano Fernandez as its members. The band plays many traditional rancheras, but with a uniquely contemporary style.

Los Dueto Voces del Rancho was founded in 2000 in Los Angeles, California. It all began with two young Mexican Americans: Edgar Rodriguez, born in Guadalajara, Jalisco; and Mariano Fernandez, from Los Mochis, Sinaloa. Both of them were raised in Bell, California, a city in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. With the help of Lupillo Rivera, a well-known banda singer, they set up a band and began recording their first norteño songs.

“Se Les Pelo Baltazar” and “Los Dos Amigos” were Rodriguez’s and Fernandez’s first hit singles. Soon, their popularity increased dramatically as their songs were played extensively on the Mexican radio. Los Dueto Voces del Rancho released other albums and songs, including the hits “El Lunar,” “Donde Están,” and “De un Rancho a Otro”. Besides playing mainly with a norteño band, Los Dueto Voces del Rancho has also played their songs with bandas.
