On this edition we welcome @holosoundnyc

Holosound (aka Alex Fish) is a DJ/Producer from NYC that’s been at it since 2004. The past decade+ has seen him dot the globe with appearances in over 23 countries, every major city in the US and release records and remixes on labels like Nurvous, HNQO’s Playperview, Glasgow Underground and (a long time ago) Ultra.

His sound has evolved over the years but has always maintained a subversively sexy vibe that’s built atop a bed of low slung deep and afro house with a sweet spot for melodic techno.  Notable gigs in the last few years include Gazgolder in Moscow, D-Edge in Sao Paolo, Tulum, Helsinki, Rio De Janeiro, Dubai, Toronto, Bogota, Kazantip festival for Flying Circus, London, Medellin, Panama City, San Jose Costa Rica, Quito, Piknic Électronik in Montreal as well as appearances at Burning Man for Robot Heart and many more.

He is a resident of the talented Bespoke Musik crew and when in New York can often be found playing for their events or at the newly reopened Gospel in Soho.

We found Erika on the dance floor of Kora in San Francisco, while she was making a path to return to the DJ booth After 25 years of absence ✨😍✨ We didn’t really know what to expect from this gentle, almost fragile looking female… and what a present we got!!! 🥰 She took us by complete surprise, mixing  strong, dominant bass-line with smart, gentle tunes, mixing strong - one track after another, she carefully placed one musical blocks over another, building the castle of her kingdom… 💪🏽❤️ and from there she rules ✨👑✨

We feel Erika is using the music at this set, to make her statement calling us all to follow our passion and dreams, beyond the limits and boundaries placed by society and perception 👑🥰👑🥰👑

Long before coming together in 2018 to form the duo ‘alko’, Alaa and Sherif met in a college classroom in Beirut. Their passion for music from a young age as well as the uprising scene in their hometown allowed them to bond on dance floors. 

Upon moving to New York, the two best friends were fascinated by the city’s unique nightlife, which inspired them a few years later to embark on their musical journey. 

With a flavor all their own, alko began to deliver silky smooth sounds influenced by the oriental rhythms of their Middle Eastern roots; the duo’s Burning Man experiences also shaped their growth into playing transcendent sets filled with melodic tunes and enchanting drops.

The duo have played in some of NYC’s hottest venues — like Avant Gardner, House of X, and Gospel — and have ignited dance floors in Turkey, Costa Rica, Mexico, Miami, and Los Angeles.

With recent appearances at SXM Festival and Tithorea’s Labryinto, the pair is clearly on the rise. You can catch them at Coachella later this month and stumble upon them on the playa this summer.
