Verborgen im Ostchinesischen Meer

Im Jahr 1985 entdeckte ein japanischer Taucher, im Südwesten Japans genauer gesagt im ostchinesischen Meer, riesige, nicht natürlich gewachsene Gesteinsformationen. Ursprünglich wollte Kihachiro Aratake neue Tauchgründe und Sehenswürdigkeiten für den Tourismus erschließen, fand stattdessen eine uralte Tempelanlage, verborgen unter den Fluten des Meeres. Heute ist dieser Fund unter dem Namen Yonaguni-Monument oder als die Unterwasserpyramiden von Yonaguni bekannt. In einer Tiefe von 5 - 30 Metern erstrecken sich die gewaltigen, insgesamt 15 Bauten, über eine Fläche von 300 X 150 Metern. Je detaillierter der Japaner seinen Fund inspizierte, desto deutlich wurde ihm, dass diese Formation nicht natürlich Ursprungs sein kann. Die einzelnen Gebäude mit ihren Steinkanten und Winkeln waren sauber und präzise ausgearbeitet und ließen Rückschlüsse auf eine sehr fortgeschrittene Ingenieurs- und Baukunst zu. 
Tausende jahrelange hielt das Meer die Existenz dieser Tempel, einer Burg eines Triumphbogens und mindestens eines Stadions unter Verschluss. Das größte der steinernen Gebilde ist jedoch eine hochkomplexe Stufenpyramide, mit gewissen Ähnlichkeiten zu anderen, bekannten Exemplaren dieser Gattung. 
Darüber hinaus wurden im gesamten Areal Inschriften, Zeichnungen und Steintaffeln entdeckt. Zusätzliche wissenschaftliche Nachforschungen ergaben, dass die Erschaffer des Yonaguni-Monuments die Stätte vor circa 8000-10000 Jahren erbauten haben müssen. Doch wer oder was wäre zu dieser Zeit, zur Erbringung einer solchen architektonischen Leistung im Stande gewesen?

Heute haben wir den ukrainischen DJ & Produzenten Jean Vayat auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. Seine Passion und Lebensaufgabe hat er der elektronischen Musik gewidmet. Seine Tracks und Remixes erreichen ein- und zweistellige Chartplatzierungen und auch seine DJ-Sets werden tausendfach geklickt. Sein Stil ist Melodiös und peppig. Er kombiniert spannende Grooves mit epischen Sounds und orientalischen Elementen. Das Gesamtbild kleidet sich kurzgesagt entzückend farbenfroh.

We’re starting the New Year with an amazingly versatile musical talent. Growing up in an environment of classical music and jazz, Joséphine de Retour absolved her education at the French Conservatoire and became a professional Pop and RnB artist.  

Few years later, when she discovered the House and Techno scene, she exchanged her mics with DJ equipment and her passion for electronic music was revealed. 

After spending some time in Beirut, Joséphine de Retour found Dubai as her new hometown. This is also where she co-launched an new party series, Deep Like, where she is one of the resident djs on rotation with her favorite international artists as long as being the creative director. 

We’re happy to have you on board, Joséphine, and we are totally addicted to your delicious Frostbite!

The year is 2016. Britta Arnold, space-girl, love child and musical jetsetter meets Unders, world-traveller, mad scientist and former Tin-Tin impersonator. It was here that two mirrors met, two ambitions joined and two styles merged to create what is now known as Britta Unders. Whether playing music to weekend ravers, swinging in the studio shaping emotions into sound, or casually planning their creative futures involving bus trips, mobile studios, remixes, releases and beyond, these kindred spirits are inhaling and exhaling each moment like the full moon does the tides. It’s natural. After their auspicious meeting at Britta’s Grrr Mit Brrr party in the magical country of Kater Blau on the banks of the river Spree, much was to happen for our spirited duo. In a matter of months, the chemistry between them had already created an EP for Katermukke, a remix for Jonas Saalbach on Einmusika and remixes for Nico Stojan & JAW, Be Svendson and Arman Miran.

For Britta, who co-founded and managed the Bar 25 label, and
Unders, with twenty years of experience in the electronic industry as both DJ, producer and promoter, this combined love of music, life and international globe-trotting created an unstoppable flow. Soon they were playing at some of the most reputable gatherings around the flat earth: Bachstelzen stage at
Fusion Festival, Shoeless parties in Old Mokum, Woomoon in Ibiza — then Burning Man and New York through to South America, Africa and their home stomping grounds of Europe. Together, their productions and DJ sets are spacious, tripping, techy and transportive. But somewhere, there is also a bearded shaman in neon playing the Glockenspiel while channeling the spiritual music of the world. Simply put, this is the sound of an extremely bright future.
