the 505 is slang for the Albuquerque area - our home sweet home.  Well, sometimes sweet and sometimes bitter.  We love where we live - the diversity, the creative vibe, the unique culture - but it can be a rough place to grow up.  This song is our homage to the good, the bad and the ugly of our city of extremes.

Cameron Weiss - One Way Track to Hell

Sound Oven is a music production project within Media Arts Collaborative Charter School. It's goal is to use music as force of social action around issues that affect the youth population, while giving students experience in professional music production. Our first project is an is an album dedicated to Haley Paternoster - a MACCS student who overdosed from heroin April 10th, 2010. Our hope is that this album., funded by her father, Steve Paternoster, will raise awareness of the growing problem of teen heroin addiction.
