These tracks have been doing the damage as a part of his live shows that he constantly tours around the world. With game changing albums and 12”s on Tresor, Planet Mu, Sneaker Social Club and his own Scandinavia, Neil is one of the old skool who’s still here today evolving and mutating his sound, winning new fans and drawing influence from Sheffield Bleep, Grime, Old Skool UK Hardcore and almost every area of the UK’s rich electronic music heritage. After two brilliant EPs on Mr Mitch’s Gobstopper, one of the labels that gravitate around the awesome forward-thinking adrenaline-to-the-max idea-factory known as London's Boxed parties, young englishman LOOM does us the honor to let us release his new EP on Sound Pellegrino. The "BURNT GLASS" EP is another testament to his unique blend of drum-less grime meets glass-shard club antics. 

Seems like every young forward-thinking producer is trying to distance himself from the club nowadays, and in a way it’s an interesting thing and I guess it is needed with the uniformity of house, techno and certain club scenes at the moment. But I personally always thought the most interesting and experimental things in music lied in the common ground between danceable and thought provoking. You can bring back Art in music in a way reminiscent of the heyday of « electronica » all you want, we have lived through these IDM years and we already came to the conclusion that you’ll never be as experimental (and sexy) as a Timbo & Missy collab. That stuff was unique and weird AND banged in the club. Anyway Loom has always been riding that fine line like a champ, and the track "BURNT GLASS" embodies it fully. Alternating between an ambient intro, a bursting trance bridge and some bubbly broken club parts, it acts both as a respiration and an invitation to rowdiness whether it is in « da club » or « da Art Gallery ». "ACID RAIN" feels like actual acid raining in your face and "HARDEST IN THE YEAR" sounds like blocs of concrete being thrown around in a hangar. Both are on a more straightforward tough vibe but the bubbly feeling remains and those two club tools will destroy any dance floor while maintaining some melodic parts to balance the violent ones. 

On remix duties the new french prodigy LE DOM transforms "HARDEST IN THE YEAR" into a motocross competition where the bikes have been upgraded with sawtooth wheels. Englishman LLOYD SB from the Nervous Horizon crew applies his trademark recipe of frantic grime and space-combat THX sounds to "ACID RAIN". Introspective melodist DOLINE delivers a subtle interpretation of "BURNT GLASS" in a category self-described as « deep and phased » on par with his 2015 Sound Pellegrino EP.

Color Plus presents 'Pure Energy' - a full length record jointly released by Towhead Recordings and Vanity Press Records. Connecticut bred and Brooklyn based, Color Plus burst onto the landscape in 2017 with two vinyl releases on Vanity Press and Cazeria Cazador. He then founded his own imprint Towhead Recordings and released his first album 'Regular Energy'. Providing production for Eartheater, Little Pain & frequent collaborator Ize along the way, 2019 saw the release of his mixtape 'Roadrunner.'
Expanding on the ideas of 'Regular Energy', 'Pure Energy' is 10 manic tracks that will bring a dying dancefloor back from the grave.

Infranature

Based in Paris, Sound Pellegrino is the label started by TEKI LATEX and ORGASMIC in 2009. The label focuses on club sounds evolving at the fringe of House, Techno, Bass and un-named half time dance-music hybrids all tied together by a strong hip hop background. The spirit of the label is to bridge gaps between scenes geographically, musically and generation-wise. The catalog is provided by a vast community of like-minded artists from all over the globe, forming a rich and diverse worldwide bond.

Curated by renowned DJs and taste makers Orgasmic and Teki Latex (from pioneer electronic hip hop outfit TTC – Teki also happens to be one of the founders of Institubes), Sound Pellegrino has quickly established itself as one of the labels to reckon with, releasing singles by Zombie Disco Squad, Renaissance Man, Todd Edwards & Surkin, L-Vis 1990, Para One, G.Vump, Bok Bok & Tom Trago, Panteros666, Teeth, Maelstrom (amongst others) and generating interest by A-List DJs from all ends of the dance music spectrum such as Modeselektor, Hudson Mohawke, Boys Noize, Annie Mac, Diplo, A-Trak, Sinden, Pete Tong, Claude Vonstroke, Ivan Smagghe, Laurent Garnier, Chloé, Justin Martin, Agoria, Joakim to name a few.

Their vision is carried and complimented by the direction of label manager EMILE SHAHIDI (Institubes' deputy manager) who handles development of the label’s activities and brands as well as executive production on all releases. He is also the co-creator and co-editor in chief of its printed publication L’Annuel.

Orgasmic and Teki Latex, the two public faces of the label, unite to form the SOUND PELLEGRINO THERMAL TEAM and they are ready to take that movement to a club near you. Even though their teaming up behind the turntables dates from 2009, these two have known each other for about 20 years and have released countless collaborations. Going through various musical phases, they have always kept a will to explore forward-thinking dance music that will make the crowd go crazy without sounding stale and outdated.

Mixing ingredients from classic house, avant-garde beats, abrupt techno tools, body-exercising bass and carefully-picked rap & r&b gems, the Thermal Team’s display of 3-deck blending craftsmanship, their transversal selection of tracks from the past the present and the future of club music, and their instinctive crowd-adaptation abilities (devoid of vision-altering compromises) are the guarantee of what clubbers across the globe have been continuously calling “a hell of a good time and a crazy unique experience”. With a hundred mixes for the Sound Pellegrino Podcast under their belt, the A&R and helming of the 35 releases of Sound Pellegrino’s exemplary catalog and 3 EPs as Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, you can tell these guys know what they are doing.

Sound Pellegrino’s CROSSOVER SERIES is a collection of EPs where 2 artists from different countries, backgrounds, generations and/or scenes are brought together by Sound Pellegrino to collaborate on some tracks. So far Bambounou was paired with Joakim, Bok Bok with Tom Trago, and Todd Edwards with Surkin. Each time the result far surpassed our expectations, further establishing the Crossover Series as a strong cement between sounds and scenes, shaking up people’s expectations of what is compatible with what in the electronic music world.
