𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 is a song for Joy – a girl born in the body of a boy. Joy is brought up in a pious community that only accepts the universal truth of holy scriptures. Joy's struggles are seen as a disease cured by medication and holy intervention. When coming of age, Joy's life becomes an endless struggle against institutions the sole purpose of which is to prevent her from embracing true self. Make some noise for Joy – the girl who sheds the skin of a boy.

Crazy Mother East is a four-to-the-flour indie dance invocation to the portion of land somebody once put a flag on – my homeland. Drenched in Slavic melancholia, this bittersweet body-mover is an attempt to snap Mother East out of her daydream. To wake her up to the realisation that she has stopped acting in her children’s interest.

𝒴𝑜𝓊'𝓇𝑒 𝒢𝑜𝓃𝓃𝒶 𝒩𝑒𝑒𝒹 𝐼𝓉 𝐿𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓇 is the last single from my ℍ𝕒𝕣𝕡𝕒𝕘𝕒𝕟 ℍ𝕠𝕦𝕤𝕖 𝕠𝕟 𝕊𝕒𝕕 ℙ𝕠𝕝𝕜𝕒 album. It's a cleansing rave ritual performed at the wake of a bone-chilling realisation - that what's lost will never be found again.

The single promotes SOUNDQ's new long play 𝓗𝓐𝓡𝓟𝓐𝓖𝓐𝓝 𝓗𝓞𝓤𝓢𝓔 𝓞𝓝 𝓢𝓐𝓓 𝓟𝓞𝓛𝓚𝓐. A palimpsest of an album that kept rewriting itself over the span of five years. It was originally called 𝓢𝓐𝓓 𝓟𝓞𝓛𝓚𝓐 and scheduled to premiere in mid 2020. However, the year which changed everyone's lives wasn't going to make an exception for that album either. I kept adding more songs to the tracklist, while fewer and fewer of the original ones remained. 

𝓗𝓐𝓡𝓟𝓐𝓖𝓐𝓝, the word of Polish highlander folk origin, represents the impulsive and unconstrained nature of the track arrangements, where digital synth sequence spill over thumping drum machines and crawling analog baselines. 𝓢𝓐𝓓 𝓟𝓞𝓛𝓚𝓐 alludes to my melancholic and self-aware style of writing, while underlining my "don't take things at face value" attitude - Polka being the term mistakenly associated with Poland, but a Chech national dance in fact.

𝓗𝓐𝓡𝓟𝓐𝓖𝓐𝓝 𝓗𝓞𝓤𝓢𝓔 𝓞𝓝 𝓢𝓐𝓓 𝓟𝓞𝓛𝓚𝓐 is a 53-minute long vocal-led, indie dance, outsider house journey through Amsterdam, Berlin, and the Greek and Norwegian coasts. But mostly, it's a ride through industrial districts of Cracow is search of abandoned warehouses to dance the nights away in.

This Heart is a dream house tune cut out for outsider discos for the introvert. The kind of parties you only end up at by accident and only if you’re in a David Lynch movie. Or an indie adventure game like Kentucky Route Zero. 

Imagine a summer night. You exit the dark highway and enter the woods. At the end of a narrow forest road you see a barn all lid up. Inside, there are all those beautiful misfits dancing with their eyes closed. What you hear coming from the speakers is an emotional dance tune in which a dreamy piano and confessional vocals are tangled in sparkling synths and swinging house beat – This Heart.

SOUNDQ (short for Soundquake) is the alias of Kuba Kubica - an innovative alternative dance producer-vocalist from Krakow.

Kubica's songwriting delves into the dynamics of interpersonal struggles, the cruelty of fate, power imbalances, and the disorienting experience of living between different worlds. He marries these themes with electronic music that is undeniably distinctive. His music draws inspiration from house, disco, techno, and even contemporary pop, yet it remains entirely singular.
