EYA Records label has scored another big one here with this old-school House and Techno flavoured EP by UK producer Tom Carruthers. In the last couple of years, the Chesire music-making machine has impressed with a series of super solid releases on LIES and his own Non Stop Rhythm imprint.
“In Grooves EP” is an ode to the 90’s dance music sound with a modern and refreshing perspective.
The opener “ So Long’ is a driving and hypnotic peak time track while “Distant World” is evocative and dreamy.
On the flip side “Echoes’ is an acid-tingled deep cut that will make move every dancefloor, closing the EP is the superb bleepy number “Mode 7”. Limited to 300 copies, don’t miss it.

Alphaville Records returns to action with Simic, and his carefully crafted “Under Control EP”. The Brooklyn based producer presents an EP of four understated, spicy groovers, following the Alphaville ethos of having a cut suitable for all flavours of the dance floor. 

The A-side kicks off with the title track “Under Control”, a housey groover guided by one of Simic’s trademark melodies. Next up is “Aquarian Age Groove”, a chuggy, evolving dance floor weapon primed for the bag. On the flip side the sample filled “CinemaScope” leads the way, before the final track “Nimbus (Amoeba Mix)” fully submerges you underwater with its wide hypnotic, rolling rhythms.

Lucretio & Omar Akhrif - We Like Rain w/ Darren Allen remix (12")

Tom Joyce’s sought after Sounds Benefit label marks their milestone tenth release with “7 Years Of Sounds Benefit”, a carefully curated selection of essential artists and rising talents presented as a double vinyl LP. The two slabs of wax manoeuvre between innovative electro and refined flavours of house and techno for trained ears.

First up is a reissue from S-Max, “New Delhi Projects”, previously released on Below back in ‘99. A chugging display of sounds that were way ahead of their time. After featuring on SND002, Ben Cohen makes his comeback on the label with “Short Night”, a breakbeat journey which boasts beautiful and emotive chord progressions. The B side features somewhat of a rarity as Etienne shares a track, “Gateway Experience”, futuristic energy from the accomplished producer, layered with subtle yet effective acid tones. Label head Tom Joyce delivers “7:15pm”, a dreamy quest through melt in your mind synths and punchy electro drum patterns.

As we approach the second vinyl, we uncover further gems from the archive as Lowtec kindly shares his unreleased “La Java 2014”, which was created circa. 2000. Javier Carballo and Aniano have been making positive movements with their Hdz moniker in recent times, and “Moog” is another stamp of approval, a warm bass line converses with the crisp drums and spaced out elements. On the flip, Berlin based Englishman Rob Amboule turns out a killer elasticated groove which takes you for a late night shuffle in “Scrap It”. Huge fun for the hazy hours on the dance floor. Nuversion, formerly known as Juliano, showcases his debut track under this name with “Crepuscule”, addressing further pensive moods with his classy production. Ending the fantastic release in a meditative state of mind, cruising on sweet melodies.

Following Levat's (@levat) mesmerising performance in April at our Doka event, we are thrilled to unveil his debut EP on Undersound Recordings.

This five-track collection is a glimpse into Levat's hardware-based artistry. The A-side features dance-floor-oriented gems, with the opening track’s anthemic energy and the second track's late-night hypnotic vibes.

The B-side contains extracts from Levat's first live set on the Mudd Show, showcasing his evolving creativity and skill. The EP concludes with 'Oddlove,' a track that takes you on an emotional journey through various moods

Andino is an Argentinean artist who has been living in Ibiza for more than 15 years and who has recently been livening up the nights of one of the most emblematic places of the island, the mythical club Namasté. There he delights in performing every week with musical tours ranging from folktronica to organic house nonstop, with a fine, feminine and danceable sound.

Andrés Feldman, the name behind this multifaceted artist, is also a film director, pre-Columbian ceramist and entrepreneur of one of the best ice cream parlors in Europe. In his debut EP, he surprises us with 3 highly danceable tracks, where he brings together the Latin American popular imaginary in a techno and house key at the same time. 

With touches of production of the Argentine artist El Remolón, we can hear in his EP stories of Facundo Cabral or Emiliano Galende, melodies that confuse you to the point of not knowing if you are in the festival of the quartet of La Mona Jimenez (famous artist from Cordoba), in the same Bombonera (Boca Juniors field) or dancing at sunset in the paradisiacal Mediterranean island of Ibiza. 

As a corollary, the llama ravers of the altiplano, in a game of artificial intelligence, invite you to dance with yourself and surrender to the world of tribune (or spiritual) dance.

Will this be the initial kick-off of high BPM tracks from Fertil Discos?

For this new episode in the V/A series, label head Tom Joyce has collected an unexpected bunch of artists from Frankfurt, Paris and Casablanca. The A side opens with a little banger from GOSU boyz Manuel Schatz & Rob Amboule, followed up by Peter Raw with his bouncy track Brotherhood. On the flip, Kosh - who co-owns Casa Voyager - delivers a liquid electro tune with his trademark sound alongside the floating beats of rising talent Hdv - a solo project by half of the French duo Loop Exposure. There is no doubt, Kloni will be your best companion for this winter.

The 8th release on French label Sounds Benefit comes in a carefully curated package featuring Frankfurt’s Phil Evans, Def Engine, Rube Goldberg Series founder Bowyer and Tom Joyce, head of the label.

Opener ‘Bell Skit’ from Pager Records co-creator Phil Evans has an inevitable warm and infectious vibe - exactly what you are after - fluttering pads shimmer around the cosy body of the track, combined with shuffling drum work. Cut from a more direct cloth is Marco Bley aka Def Engine, with a slick and minimal edit of his track 'Escape Moot' released in 96 on Din A1 records.

On the B side, UK producer Bowyer delivers ‘Big Beat Manifesto’, a breezy summer track with a deeper energy than the three others, a young and talented producer to keep an eye on over the coming period. A fitting addition to the VA as Tom has just found himself releasing on Bowyer's, Rube Goldberg Series, an exchange of tracks between the two, each sitting comfortably on the others label. Closing out the record is Sounds Benefit founder, Tom Joyce, almost six minutes of bliss, dreamy synths melt into the snappy bass line, a classy production from the Paris based artist.
