Hello fellow human being, fresh from our fingers and ears comes the next quarterly(?) edition of @rodeanmusic/Rodskeez and I's mixes titled: From Sprout To Simmer [The 2021 'Spring Into Summer' Mix]. Another compilation containing just a small sample of the amazing music we've found/re-discovered or has been released over the last few months.

Tunes from labels such as Hoomidas, DNSOTF, Balkan Connection, Souksonic, Suprematic, Future Avenue plus artists such as Luka Sambe, Evren Ulusoy, Rigooni, Hraach, Vazik, Matan Caspi and Stage Van H means there's a bit of something for everyone: From the floaty, groovy, and melodic-laden to the main-set heavy-hitters with plenty of edits and another unreleased original of ours titled "Where There Is No Light" marked in there with good pal @filterbear. As the name suggests, this one follows the trajectory of the thermometer, the transition between spring into summer.

The 71st edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes Ram Roozbehani (Mars Monero) & Rodean Roozbehani (Rodskeez). Both born in Tehran, Iran and currently residing down under in Sydney (Australia), Mars and Rodskeez discovered and developed their love for electronic music at an early age. While Mars found DJing to be the next logical step and Rodskeez dabbling around the production side, they eventually absorbed inspiration from each other and started graduating on both fronts. With music on Replug, Mango Alley, Balkan Connection and more, we welcome Mars Monero & Rodskeez on our show with an exclusive 2 hour set - also celebrating their track release 'Senescence' on Juicebox Music's first "Fables" volume. ⇸ Our second year at Sisyphos was absolutely phenomenal. We took to The Tunnel floor then the Hammahalle main room for a total of 14 hours in August 2023. Axon, then Tom Baker & Jedidiah captained the Tunnel, then Vorpal and I led the Hammahalle for the closing session of the weekend. It's an incredible honour to play at this club, and especially to be granted a showcase for Stone Seed and SixthSense Australia.

I love curating my set specifically for the time and place, so this slot was perfect for me to delve into a generally heavier, filthier, and quicker side of my DJ explorations... of course, with a dose of soul.

Hello everyone!! You are tuned in once again to our exclusive weekly Progcast, time to turn up the volume and get ready for another awesome DJ mix. 

We are continuing our tour of England and it seems only fitting that we visit Manchester, home of many a world class DJ. He has an outstanding reputation amongst the free party scene, and has delivered us a mix made solely of his own reworks and remixes, including a special one off for us! Make some noise for GoneWest!

GoneWest (James West) is a genre-defiant DJ and Producer from Manchester, influenced by a variety of underground artists, labels, club nights and festivals. 

In his mid-teens, James went from being a metalhead to discovering a love for electronic music through the likes of The Prodigy, James Holden, Aphex Twin and Infected Mushroom. He cut his teeth at dubstep raves in Manchester before he could even get into a club, and when he did, it was the legendary Tangled in Manchester.

James's first started DJing at Psy-Trance parties, mostly in the forests of North Wales and, once he started getting deeper into the scene, quickly held residencies at both Crystal Kids and Elemental, held in Manchester and Leeds respectively.

He has supported some big names in the psychedelic scene, such as Infected Mushroom, Ace Ventura, Avalon, GMS and Juno Reactor. He has played at festivals like Illusive, Anthropos, Solfest and Transition, held in Spain.

James is constantly searching for deep, melodic, progressive and psychedelic techno sounds to use in his DJ sets, remixes and productions. In this mix he uses unreleased, brand new material apart from the first track which was released on Bandcamp.

Rodean has managed to reach cosmic heights over his career by sponging up every semblence of musical wisdom and knowledge that was bestowed upon him - when one hears of the journey and the company he's kept throughout, the tale of this love for music takes shape. The fixation with music creation truly began in the hum of computer fans, with his outline in the monitor glow of a bare room experimenting and tinkering with DAWs, hardware and a set of turntables, wrapping his ears around a soundscape of various genres. 

Armed with a bulletproof work ethic and passionate fervor towards his craft, Rodean went from being a writer, composer and producer of electronic music to a collector of hardware and instruments and studying to become an audio engineer by trade, specialising in synthesis, recording and production. 

While adding to the repertoire, he was sewing the seeds of his sound in the Progressive, House & Techno realms through a celestially diverse and eclectic sound that challenged norms and took a hammer to boundaries. This path had seen releases through labels like Renaissance Music, Sudbeat, Onelove, Vapour and CR2 and featuring on releases/packages with profiled artists the ilk of Hernan Cattaneo, Vincenzo, Peter Horrevorts, Minilogue et cetera
