Establishing the next step in Diamond Blu Records’ journey through reimagined, forward thinking underground dance music is Toronto’s Alex Lytvyn. Known professionally as Pastiche, he just tied the bow his new Asymetric EP. Released exclusively on Spotify September 4th and all other platforms on September 25th, Asymetric invokes mental pictures of a more futuristic dancefloor. While many ambitious artists create bodies of work inspired by the same imagery, the key difference in Pastiche’s approach is his uniquely psychedelic influence onto his beats, most evident in the title track. Cosmos is a strong opening number, incorporating a combination of lush pads, a sharp baseline and a gentle melody that takes center stage during the track’s breakdown. Funkmatic finds itself among the list of tracks a DJ would want to keep as a secret weapon; the retro vibes inherent in the track’s synth play is enhanced with a deep vocal sample in which the narrator defines the many true meanings of House music. The EP concludes with The Girl, which is one half clean tech house and one part deep story narrated with sensual style. Be you a clubber looking for a perfect track to bump on the way to work or a DJ looking for a secret weapon to drop under the lights of a club, you’ll find a track on this EP that suits your fancy.

About Pastiche
Known to his friends as Alex Lytvn and previously referred to professionally as “Uth,” Pastiche has been producing since the age of 12. He’s crafted numerous different styles of Dance music from Progressive and Goa trance to Drum n Bass to Techno, but what made him finally walk down the path of house under his newest monicker is a need to form his own variant of the genre. He has accomplished this goal exponentially over the last two years, incorporating unique melodic patterns and extended vocal narratives that tell a story within the breakdown. This kind of sonic mixture results in the underground Techno vibe we’ve come to appreciate, but with an uplifting and psychedelic twist. He draws inspiration from Boris Brejcha, Maceo Plex, Matt Lange, and Kollektive Turmstrasse, never leaving their hypnotic beats out of his own sets.

Matching the latest release "Equilibrium" by Swiss duo Theydream, on Fckng Serious, a Remix EP with four remixes by great artists is going to be released. The edits have been contributed by artists of the label itself as well as by artists who have not yet released on Fckng Serious. An important feature: Label boss Boris Brejcha himself also contributes his share to this EP. The label is especially happy about this because Boris hasn't released on FS since his deal with Ultra.

Ann Clue, Boris Brejcha, Frost, and Moritz Hofbauer have all given this extraordinary track their very own touch and so four completely different songs were created which have their very own strengths.

With Frost, Theydream got a new star in the techno heaven by their side, who has already released on Anjunadeep and Mau5trap and whose songs are streamed several million times. The Australian even got support from Pete Tong on Radio BBC 1.

Ann Clue delivers as always. The techno diva, who has been under contract with Fckng Serious since the beginning of time, supports her label colleagues in her usual techno-heavy manner with a remix that is suitable for all dancefloors.

Moritz Hofbauer is the second external artist to make his debut on FS with this remix and is convincing beyond all measure. The young DJ practiced early on and his productions are not only presented by him at big festivals, but also appear regularly in sets of well-known DJs like Aka Aka, Township Rebellion, or Dirty Doering.
