Depths (John Selway Light Of Day Remix)

This afternoon Monday 5 September 2023, I recorded a mix with Knotweed vinyl releases that came out since we celebrated our label tenth anniversary in Autumn 2021.

A single track of each release is played one after the other, in chronological order, from KW044 (echologist) to KW054 (Philippe Petit). The mix finishes with a track from the latest release from our sister label DMT025.

Almost one hour of Real Techno!

DJ PRODUCER is a DJ from St. Petersburg who mixes music at the intersection of house and techno sounds. He started his path to DJing by listening to katarakt's video mixes - hence the great love for lo-fi house. Released on the labels "mosoblelectro", "welofi", "damn". In his mix, Gosha shows his view of underground house sound. The sound is rich in warm, muffled bass and the emotions of a light summer weekend.

Originally released on vinyl by R&S in 1994, ‘Meditation Will Manifest’ was re-earthed in 2016 by Nina Kraviz and Ricardo Villalobos, becoming a secret weapon on dancefloors 22 years after its original release. On December 16, ‘Meditation Will Manifest’ gets its first digital release on R&S.
 
Josh Wink has always been ahead of musical trends and walks his own path in dance music. From a young age Wink was exposed to different mysticism and consciousness philosophies. “It wasn’t a big, popular or trendy thing to do at the time, but I was 14 and just did what my mother did… Releasing tracks like ‘Meditation Will Manifest’ and ‘Higher States of Consciousness’, people looked at me as being this deeply profound spiritual guy, but I never really thought about it in that way, even though I’m really into repetitive, transcendental and meditative rhythms.
