Co-fondateur du label Tannhäuser Gate et dirigeant de Volt-Phase, cela fait 10 ans qu’ILYSS anime les nuits brestoises. Après des débuts résolument Techno, il s’aventure là où son insatiable curiosité le mène et élargit sans cesse sa palette musicale : Ambient, House, Trance, Bass Music, ses performances aussi diversifiées qu’imprévisibles se suivent et ne se ressemblent pas mais manifestent toutes de son amour inconditionnel pour la musique électronique. 

En 2020, il se lance dans la production avec la sortie de son premier EP “Synaptic Symphony”. Depuis, il compte 5 EPs, 1 album et 3 apparitions dans des Various Artists, dont une pour Dôme aux côtés de Nabta, John Faustus et Jean Terechkova.

Co-founder of the Tannhäuser Gate label and head of Volt-Phase, ILYSS has been livening up Brest nights for the past 10 years. After his resolutely Techno beginnings, he ventured wherever his insatiable curiosity led him and constantly broadened his musical palette: Ambient, House, Trance, Bass Music, his performances, as diverse as they are unpredictable, follow one another and never resemble one another, but all demonstrate his unconditional love of electronic music.

Fantasia 4 :
Les Fantasia sont des soirées qui mettent à l'honneur les "petits artistes", un pari sur demain, hostées par ILYSS et qui ont pour parti pris de proposer à la fois des musiques diversifiées, pointues et festives. Le 2 février 2024 se tenait la dernière édition en date lors de laquelle il a proposé un set de 3h avant de passer la main aux Djs Nantais Alpaïde et Gaya.

Ce set, c'est un résumé à lui seul de l'âme de Fantasia. De l'énergie, de la découverte et de la générosité : House, Breakbeat, Techno, Electro, Dubstep, Hardgroove, Drum And Bass, Trance, Progressive House, il n'y a pas de barrière ni de limite de genres. On ressent. On donne. On le vit sans concession et sans se cacher !

I'm feeling this kinda nostalgic 90's/00's PlayStation kinda drum and bass sound lately, so here's another one. I dunno if anybody remembers those old Casio keyboards that were in every music class in schools in the UK in the early 2000s but if you do then you probably remember the "Get on up!" vocal stab that was programmed on all of them. Not a single class passed by without somebody distrupting it with keyboard cat noises interspersed with "Get on up!"
