This track was started during a very powerful pranayama course on Lake Atitlan.

Inspired by the medicine of the breath & the power to remain open / protected. A daily reminder for us to connect to the cyclical currents of life. Osha is a powerful plant ally that I cherish deeply. The name was inspired by it’s profound ability to expand and clear ~

I had a lovely time putting this set together supporting @dirtwire at Shady Park in Tempe, AZ! Definitely a sound style I would like to explore more in the future! Reeeeeally gets the dance floor moving. I just wish I could have kept going!  ^_^

Shady Park Slow House

This is a home recording of an opening set I played for a show I hosted in Tucson featuring the wizardly @Hedflux and @sixis-3 in Spring 2018. I recorded the live set, but prefer this extended mix a bit more. I find opening sets (as in, the first one of the night) to be extremely challenging, as in many ways, you are setting the tone for the evening. Coming in from the silence to a small crowd (and perhaps empty dance floor), it is up to you to cultivate the energy in the space and turn it into something notable as you build up toward the next act. Finding the right energy level for this type of environment is one of the biggest challenges I think a DJ can face, and I'm still learning new things about this every time I play, regardless of what time I go on.

A Doorway Opening

This set was recorded during a rooftop yoga class in Tucson, AZ. At 125 people, this was actually one of the larger crowds I have enjoyed while playing downtempo music. Now that I have revisited the recording, I feel that it hits the lounge and "world beat" vibe a bit more than anything... Definitely easy listening!

A groovy selection of lounge-friendly tracks tailored to an extended yoga flow class or chill-out session. ॐ

Beginning with 6 minutes of ambient/meditative sounds that meander into increasingly active downtempo and lounge beats, this mix is designed for a full-spectrum flow class ending with an extended cool-down. 

If you plan to use this for a practice, I recommend using the first 5 minutes for getting into a comfortable mental space, and then planning a long cool-down and savasana at the end.
