As a vocalist, I've always been heavily inspired by Miley Cyrus. Here's one of my favourite songs off her Plastic Hearts album — a short acoustic cover recorded in BandLab.

I'm releasing this one a little earlier than planned to enter a contest. But rest assured, a better and final mix is on the way.

This is my first single since "Don't You Dare" came out 10 years ago, after which I went on an indefinite music hiatus — which turned into thinking I had lost my craft. 

Until last year. Until these lyrics and melody found me.

So without further due, I'm proud to present to you: PALATABLE — an anthem for all those ready to break free from shackles of people-pleasing and self-doubt. Influenced by the sounds of Hozier, Tom Odell, and Miley Cyrus's ESV album 

May every beat in this track pound at your irrational fears — as they did mine throughout production. May this song help you connect with and unleash your inner baddie.

PALATABLE marks ALEXANDRA's official debut single on streaming services. The song is not only a true testament to her soulful pop-rock sound, but also echoes themes of breaking away from people-pleasing habits and of strengthening your ability to trust yourself. Accompanied by a resounding "no thank you" message, the song serves as a middle finger to any invitations to mute or dim yourself—a middle-child's anthem, if you will—fittingly marking the rebirth of her music career with an anthem of authenticity.
