The auspicious occasion of Guru Pournami will be celebrated at the Isha Yoga Center on July 14th 2011. The day of Guru Pournami is traditionally the time when seekers offer the Guru their gratitude and receive his blessings.

Sadhguru will offer a special Darshan on this day between 6:20PM to 6:40PM India time (1:50PM to 2:10PM London, 8:50AM to 9:10AM New York). You can make yourself receptive to the Presence and Grace by sitting in silence during this time wherever you may be. Guru Paduka Stotram can be chanted before and after this twenty-minute interval. This tremendous opportunity is available, and can be shared, to everyone.

‘Wholeness’ was a 90-Day program conducted by Sadhguru in 1994, with a small band of seekers. Many years later, with the Isha Yoga Center more established, ‘Wholeness’ became the name of a 7-Day introductory program, also conducted by Sadhguru.

One of our early attempts at instrumental music, this song, ‘Wholeness’, was intended as an ambience to start the program on the first day – a way for the participants to settle into Sadhguru’s presence and be open to the process.The name ‘Wholeness’ has managed to stick all these years, thanks to the program, but the music has undergone various transformations and permutations. We have also been fortunate to have several professional artists come and contribute their expertise, enhancing the overall musicality of the piece. Here is the latest rendering – a live recording in the presence of Sadhguru.

An invocation to Devi Bhairavi, this song is a plea for Devi to come awake in one's heart and to take one across the ocean of life. It expresses the longing of the devotee to surrender at her feet.

Bhairavi Shatakam

Mystics have always used sound in ways far beyond the realm of mere entertainment - by breathing in an ethereal dimension into simple rustic sounds from life around to give us a taste of the beyond. A simple twang of the ektara often did what a thousand words could not do to touch people.

Sounds of Isha is Sadhguru's own home grown, anomalous group of 'musicians' - inspired by their deep yearning and sense of gratitude. Dabbling with and melting into their instruments, their work is a subtle fusion of the rich and diverse beings that they are. The group members are full-time volunteers with Isha Foundation, living a life of dedication and austerity; thus, their inspirational songs are usually created after a full day's activity, due to their passion and zest to share a different dimension of the foundation's work.

Their melodies are a fusion of music from different parts of the world - traversing effortlessly and seamlessly across boundaries and cultures. Whilst the music of these songs sooth our minds and the melodies enthrall us, the true potential of the songs is in their capability to instill in us an element of the eternal silence that touches the core of the human being. The performances of Sounds of Isha are set apart to deliver a potent and intoxicating ethereal concoction, transporting those who listen into subtler states of being - becoming the basis for inner exploration.
