It's by no means a coincidence that Tim Engelhardt released his debut album on Steve Bug's Poker Flat label at the tender age of 17 years old. For his musical education began a full decade earlier, when he made his first encounter with classical music theory on the piano at home. Influenced by the musical leanings of his parents, with Mike Oldfield's compositions being particularly formative, Tim soon discovered the tracks of Cologne producer Robert Babicz, shifting his focus to computers and synthesizers as the primary means of production. In the midst of a diverse new generation of young producers who'd source their inspiration from a whole range of genres, Tim kicked off his career as he released his first vinyl EP at the age of 14. It's the combination of a deep-running music knowledge and an intuitive playfulness that Tim has been cultivating since then, expressing itself in a great love for harmony and expanding melodic structures, paired with an organic flow and atmospheric density. As a result, Tim's impressive output of the past years found a home on labels like Poker Flat, Cityfox, Watergate, Fryhide, Innervisions, Vivrant and, most recently, on Oliver Koletzki's Stil vor Talent, where his second album 'Idiosynkrasia' was released in 2020. His work in the studio is only one side of the coin, however, as Tim has been touring the globe extensively, playing dance floors at festivals and clubs in Australia, Africa, India, Europe and the US. Here, Tim found a home away from home in New York, where the renowned Cityfox awarded him with a permanent residency at the super-club Avant Gardner. His continuous presence in the Big Apple culminated in the musical contribution to the New York Timesbestseller project 'The Outlaw Ocean' by journalist Ian Urbina. During the touring drought of the pandemic and thanks to his tireless research in the studio, Tim was able to make a name for himself as a sound engineer, upgrading the mixdowns of other artists. Additionally he released numerous sample packs and software templates in 2021, aiding young artists in their own production quests. Tim Engelhardt's vision for the future: Art with personality – art that holds a piece of its creator at its heart. His mission is to translate the sounds in his head into reality as convincingly as possible. Which explains why Tim's productions don't really sound like the standard DJ fodder, as he delivers a well-rounded musical vision to the club floor, that is just as awe inspiring on the hi-fi system of your living room.

In his early years, he attended many music festivals and parties,  so much so that the music settled very deep in his mind and heart, and he created his own musical project "Beat Inside" and "Maevka" music festival, which is held annually on the Black Sea coast for many years. As the years go by, the melodies and rhythms only develop more and more in his head and he want to share this wonderful impulse with the whole world and give a sense of celebration and happiness.

It's with great excitement that I release my set from Electric Island 2022 with you all. It was such an amazing day shared with so many beautiful friends and fam. Our community created some real magic at the Sunset Stage and I am so grateful to all of you who made it so special. Huge thanks to the organizers for having me once again, including Coda Toronto, Platform Entertainment, Embrace Presents and the whole EI crew. 

The set is filled with driving synths, deep and dark basslines sprinkled with some uplifting melodies, and of course some pinnacle vocal tracks that I feel in love with over the past few months.

One of New York City's rising talents, Dylan Scott Farrugia, better known as Dysco, has proven his artistic ability to both fans and peers alike. Whether in his home country of Malta, or on the streets of New York City, Dysco completely immersed himself in the culture of electronic music from the jump. With a keen ear for the future sounds of the underground, and a quick mind for creating stellar music, Dysco was quickly recognized as an artist to watch.

Dysco's passion and hard work in the scene were recognized as word spread throughout the NYC Nightlife community - ultimately leading him to perform the halls of legendary nightclubs such as Output, Pacha, Sankeys, and Cielo in New York, as well as Gianpula and La Grotta in Malta, Tanz Bar City Hall in Poland - all before the age of 25.

Flash forward through many late nights in production and vibrant sets across the years, Dysco is now taking his game to the next level through powerful original work that pays homage to the past, present, and future of Underground music. With his rich, dark melodic sound, expect only the best from the man known as Dysco!

Catalyst 031 - Dysco

Born in Mendoza, Argentina. Kevin's non-linear way of mixing has led him to become a creator of unique moments that reveal his vast musical taste, applied in his interpretation of Melodic House & Techno, Indie Dance, Techno & Deep House.


Using textures from different times and latitudes, heavy bass lines, exotic vocals, twisted metallic percussions and avantgarde electric sounds, Kevin has made his way into clubs and events of different styles, sharing the booth with renowned exponents of the world electronic music scene.

In 2019 he joined the West Side Project label team founded by Em Boss. WSP is quickly catapulted as one of the groups that stand out for their excellent musical curatorship in Mexico City.

Thanks to this, they obtained a residency at FÜNK Club, in addition to being recognized for their own event productions in different venues of Mexico.

In 2020 he settled in Tulum, where he started rediscovery that allowed him to differentiate from the rest, evolving his musical identity into a more twisted intellectual music.

Thanks to this he achieved a permanent residency at Mystical Experience, produced events at Mia Beach Club, and Art Beach by Zamna and cofounding Rythmia, his dynamic conceptual brand for events and booking agencies.

2022 was the year of his first South American & Europe Tour, playing in Barcelona, Madrid, Lisboa, Argentina & Chile.

At the moment, Kevin is focusing in music production with some releases upcoming in the beginning of 2023.
Also, his constantly moving spirit is aimed at the creation of new concepts of experiences around México and the world.
