YokoO and Retza return to All Day I Dream with four wonderful tracks furthering their emotional reach on the dance floor.
 ‚Euneirophrenia’ (the peaceful state of mind after a pleasant dream...see we teach you things!) is an exercise in how best to use the sound of an elephant in a breakdown. Featuring one of the sickest bass line the label has released, this tune has rocked each and every time it's dropped, and been asked for repeatedly. 
 ‚Orenda’ goes deep. It is a lonesome melancholic beauty that slowly opens and delicately presents strings and subtle vocals. 
 ‚Tarantism’ evokes the fading days of summertime as winter approaches. Its lonely chords and sad strings pull on the heart. Gorgeous and very all day i dream.
 ‚Yügen’ closes out the EP with another slow burner. Gently blossoming from its drum led intro, the emotive melodies build while deeper tones play off them and punctuate to make it a gorgeous piece of music.

A piano melody gets stuck in the mechanical clatter of a loom, or a similar apparatus. It gets carried away by the rhythmic forces, suddenly jerks free and expands into remarkable musical virtuosity and eventually encounters the casual vibes of an electric organ improvisation. That's the story of Felix Eul's new track Klavin cut short, a story that is intriguingly light and profound at the same time. Dole & Kom transform it into a slightly slower, but just as compelling dance floor tune. Then there's Nautilus, a title that is just as melodic and has a sophisticated air of understatement. Its groove gives rise to the idea of dirty mechanics with academic degrees who navigate a steampunk submarine 3000 leagues under the sea, seeking new adventures. Stephan Zovsky uses dramatic pad arrangements to turn this tune into a technoish, highly ecstatic banger.

Like the Greek legend Icarus, Wax Wings is soaring towards greatness. Taking after his Brazilian father, a musician and British mother, an artist, Wax is a man of many talents. From his visual creations in paint, graffiti and photography to his fashion, make-up artistry and of course music production, his abilities span endless forms of expression. 

Alongside his own releases, Wax has also found the time to work with artists from Skunk Anansie’s Skin through to the Dead Can Dance’s Lisa Gerrard and remix Maya Jane Coles, Nocturnal Sunshine, Eli & Fur, Zebra Katz, The Presets, Skindred, Vök, Sofi Tukker, GAPS, Fischerspooner and Bronski Beat. With his own work having been remixed by dance music dignitaries like Jay Shepheard, Warboy, Absolute and Panorama Bar regular Alinka. 

Equally as successful as a DJ, Wax has supported an ever-growing list of the cream of the underground scene such as Chris Liebing, Ellen Allien, Kim Ann Foxman, Joris Voorn, Alan Fitzpatrick, Loco Dice, Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Heidi, Derrick Carter… In particular, Wax has now become Maya Jane Coles opener of choice at her events around the World. Early in 2018, Wax was confirmed as resident of one of the year’s most talked about new events: He.She.They., and to date has played events including Fabric, Printworks, Hyte, XOYO, SW4, Ministry of Sound, Watergate (Berlin), Sankeys (Tokyo), Pacha and Destino (Ibiza), EL Monasterio (Barcelona), Meadow in the Mountains (Bulgaria) and Secret Garden. Sol Selectas is pleased to welcome back Argentinian artist Ulises for his first solo EP, after contributing two amazing songs for our Summer Sol compilations. This EP contains four original songs, and three remixes. In the artists own words - “The concept of the Más Allá EP is an attempt to go beyond the boundaries of the mental experience, trusting our inner voice to guide us into the expansion of our being.” 

“Más Allá” tells the story of that psychedelic inner journey which leads to the dusty way of ego dissolution.  “Pineal” refers to our third eye, which connects our consciousness, with a higher energy source. “Sian” pays homage the magical land of Sian Kaan, famous for its sunsets in the lagoon. “Obelisk”  was inspired by a trip to Rome, where the looted Egyptian obelisks can be found all over the city, working as antennas of sacred energy.
 
For the remixes we welcome back to the label David Mayer from Germany, who crafts a beautiful version of “Sian”, picking up the tempo slightly, and injecting his signature Afro house groove. Mexican Roderic joins the label for the first time, delivering a smooth take on Obelisk, weaving the horns in and out, and building the tension on the final breakdown. And finally, we welcome Russian artists Geju to Sol Selectas, also for the 1st time. They transform “Pinneal” into an epic down tempo journey, which opens the third eye to a higher frequency. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali visualizes the music leading our conscious mind to a clearer recognition of the higher self.
