Today we celebrate a very special New Moon and Lunar New Year, as Mercury becomes the seventh planet to arrive in the night sky, and Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Neptune and Saturn all will be visible at the same time.

For the occasion, a selection of classic old chill tunes was prepared, delicately framed by our friend Lucky JLF. 

Music lover and DJ from the mid-90s, he enjoyed trance and rave, and Goa trance in 2002 completed his musical experience. His goal as a performer is to tell a story through music, because music has the incredible ability to transport and connect us...

Sunduo is a project by Anton Yanovich from Riga (Latvia). An audiophile and an organizer of chillout music festivals in Latvia, Sunduo follows a specific concept in his compilation. Each has a characteristic emotional tone and a melodic mood.

Echoes Of Serenity is the 5th compilation album by Sunduo. It contains the diamonds of atmospheric ambient and chillout. This is a musical saga for dreamers and romantics. A skillfully composed compilation takes you on an adventurous journey among the stars. Track by track the musical haze becomes denser, it paints magical sound pictures, connects the dots of all beings and things in the Universe. I am exited to share my new song, or more like a 15 minutes long storytelling sound journey to transport you to the fairytale and lore dripping scenery of old summer farms in the Western Norwegian mountains. These small farm cabins are called seter, and are isolated small farm houses, often far into the mountains, with summer grassing for the cows, sheep and goats. And is where the farm women spent most of their summers taking care of the animals, making cheese, cream and butter.

Imagine late summer, still light, but it is starting to get a bit darker closing in on midnight, and something dark is moving about half hidden in the woods surrounding the seter… 

I have always been deeply fascinated by this part of the old farming life style, and in my vivid and fantastic imagination, what magical things that must have happened at these places, with trolls, forest spirits, huldra and so many more mythical creatures roaming the mountains woods…wild mushrooms growing in the grass… those mild and light summer nights…just women there alone for long periods… I mean… it must have been wild! 🐾🌸🦉🍀🧌  🍄🌚🔥🧚‍♂️

So I made this deep and slow soundscape, put on the headset, placed the microphone in front of me, closed my eyes, dived in and just listened. And very soon I got totally transported to this ancient mountain seter, and this story started to tell itself through me. The words came in my native local dialect from Western Norway, with words from old fairy tales and folksongs. I found my crone voice and let it just express. Such a healing and strong experience. 

I recommend listening to this track with good headphones and lay down and take a deep and relaxing soundjourney. 
Can also be nice listening to while walking in the woods a friend shared...

Bio:
Coming originally from the UK, Sounds of Snow is an Amsterdam based producer.  After a musical upbringing centered around punk/ reggae, Snow had a firm grip on the beat but then discovered the wonderful sound electronic music can make, Going deep the genres of Chillgressive,psychill and psybient

Since 2018 he has been deeply rooted in the psy scene of the Netherlands and has also taken him to events in countries such a Finland, Italy, Greece, Latvia, France, Oman with more to come.
