Already loaded with a heritage that dates back to the early 1990s, Tranquil Elephantizer cues up the last ever Futureboogie single with the cosmically charged ‘Moon City’ EP.  LA’s Warehouse Preservation Society come correct with a remix of the title track.

As stalwarts of the UK & US West-coast scene Tranquil Elephantizer have notched up live & DJ performances across the globe as well as heralded releases for Wicked, Matrix, Definitive, Language and Primal. Now firmly rooted in San Francisco, lead producer DJ Shakra has kept the vibe alive over three decades and still bounces tracks across continents with original members; Alexi Worrall, Crispin J Glover and the Kedros Brothers.  Darius Kedros delivers here on additional production and mixing duties, with relatively new crew member ‘Alcyone’ bringing another level of keyboard & modular synth mastery, elevating proceedings further into the ethereal realms.

Across two mixes of ‘Moon City’, ‘Sugarlump’ and ‘Slow Brew’, transcendental vibes are set, as acid licks and sci-fi kicks are explored amongst the distinctly dubwise beats and heavyweight bass tones.  Ambient house never sounded so relevant as it does now, and the ‘Moon City’ EP drips with this esoteric sound.

Warehouse Preservation Society follow up their Futureboogie released ‘Endlessly’ EP with a stellar remix of ‘Moon City’, as chugging beats, industrious percussion and a toxic brew of kaleidoscopic synths, pianos and 303 bassline bizzness makes for a most heady experience.

After six years of throwing parties around Leeds, Limit UK have turned their attention to kicking off a new label arm. For the first release, which has been over a year in the making, they've enlisted the talents of a lengthy string of friends and extended family for a 27-track VA called Collective Consciousness. Compiled throughout 2021, the compilation features local, international, unsigned, upcoming and fully-fledged artists all coming together to raise money for three charities: Mind, Trees for Cities & Womens' aid. Spanning all manner of musical flavours, from ambient to trance, house and breaks, the release features music from emkay, Jordan Nocturne, Kiara Scuro, Joe Morris and Cosmikuro.

In 2021, FuFu Records has established a partnership with the NGO: One Tree Planted. A final donation has been made in February 2022 with the sales of the 4 compilations of 2021.

Since the first volume released in March 2021, we have done 3 donations which result in 1900 trees having been planted in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam & India.

In 2022, FuFu Records will partner with a new NGO to help the reduction of plastic in the ocean, particularly focusing on a project in Indonesia with the NGO Seven Clean Seas: plastic offsetting (https://www.sevencleanseas.com/).

2 USD will represent 1KG removed from Indonesian oceans/beaches... and it will be also used to pay the Indonesian people who remove all the wastes and to teach them correctly.

Friday 3 February 2023 sees Newcastle polymath, Man Power release his first EP of the year, Wallsend’s Finest, on burgeoning Belfast imprint, Nocturne, following up recent successes on the label from the likes of Zillas on Acid, Tech Support, Perdu & Alex Virgo.

On the first Man Power outing on Nocturne he delivers a gnarly acid workout on ‘Overbite’. Driven drums, 303 squelch and tense synths are order of the day making a perfect combination for the late night, heads down crew.

On ‘Full Body Gurn’, he turns in a percussive 4/4 beast with a refreshing nod to a classic that will sit comfortably between both the house and bass dance floors.

Fiercely independent, Man Power is the curator of the Me Me Me label and parties, which this year has seen DJ Harvey, Jeff Mills, Daniel Avery, Gerd Janson, Jennifer Cardini and many more travel to join him in Newcastle while he continues to support, mentor and champion new talent from across the world.
Having taken some downtime to adapt, re-focus and re-align himself with a renewed focus as a producer and DJ, 2023 is on track to be a year of creative energy, as the Man Power project enters its second decade as a force to be reckoned in club culture.

Baldini Records is a brand new edit-centric imprint out of Naples inspired, you might guess correctly, by the legendary DJ, producer and cosmic house innovator Alessandro Baldini. It kicks off with two disco versions that he would surely be happy to reach for. They come from Alex From Utopia - he is a party impresario and a so-called DJ's DJ. Both of these have already been getting plenty of high-profile plays from the likes of Lovefingers, Jonny Rock and Ivan Smagge. 'Story Of Devotion' has a proto-deep house feel to it with nice analogue drums and a silky vocal, while 'Ask Ives' is slower and more psyched out.

With Sterac aka Steve Rachmad a star from Amsterdam's vibrant Techno scene contributes two incredible remixes to the EP. Darling is a longtime collaborator and friend who shares a studio with Tracey, and their magical collection of analogue synthesizers. Equally obsessed with machines is another neighbor, Jordan GZR, who is most well known for his multi- instrumentalist formations Magic Mountain High and Juju & Jordash. Last but not least Dial Records co-owner Lawrence takes a stand and rounds up the last release in 2019.

For our second foray into the vinyl world, label head Massey joins forces with Sir Horatio, 'a certain' band from Manchester on collaboration cut 'Music Control'.

The result is a meeting of musical minds that blends together both parties favoured sounds to create a squelchy sandwich of post disco/proto house with a healthy helping of acid & punk funk which should appeal to fans of mucky basements and cosmic mosh-pits.

On board for the remix ride are Manchester's very own 'Prince in a Bergahus' collective, See Thru Hands who lean heavy on the funk and take art deeper into the cosmos whilst the Sink ya Teeth ladies strip things back and go straight for the warehouse with a sparse funk rework that features their own additional vocals with additional acieeeeed!
