Edit of a Nigerian uptempo disco banger with a nice synthline that once formed a beatless break, causing dancers to stop and wonder what happened. Needed a more continuous flow for danceability

Here after a long time the first EP release on Best Record containing new unreleased music. Afrodesia project born from a close collaboration between Periodica Records and Best Record featuring @mysticjungle & @mannywhodamanny.
Afrodesia took inspiration from the italian afro-movement that lasted for few years during mid-eighties especially from those songs produced at the legendary Les Folies Studios in Milan. Afrodesia sounds balearic boogie afro and cosmic with heavy use of original past synths and drum machines programmed and played by Dario Di Pace, Raffaele Arcella and real acoustic instruments thanks to the musicians : Giulio Neri (Tenor Saxophone and vocals), Andrea Farias (Guitar), Davide Di Sauro (Bass) and the late George Aghedo (Percussion).

Dance for Relief is a way to use our music to help raise funds for causes that we are passionate about. The second release in the series is a compilation of edits, remixes and secret weapons from various friends, with Volume 2 focusing on summery, festival-ready house sounds.

As before all proceeds raised from this release will go straight to Direct Relief (directrelief.org), a charity whose mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies, and who are doing great work to ensure that protective gear and critical care medications get to as many health workers as possible. Their work continues to be particularly important in the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

Finally, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all the artists involved who have given their skills and time during a difficult period to help make this release happen, in support of a worthy cause.
