Tally G is back for her fourth installment with the series and we're proud to say we've got another doosey of a mix on our hands. As expected this most talented mixtress delivers another quick moving session full of bangers, and intricate, precise blends. Keeping the flow interesting, artistic, and in rhythm, Tally G drives home a Junglist based session full of dope drums and memorable samples. Bio
Tally G (San Diego), behind the decks off and on for the past two decades, is known
for her diversity as a (mostly) drum and bass DJ, seamlessly blending jungle,
footwork, juke, and neurofunk, among other subgenres, most notably deep, dark,
techy minimal DnB. Every set is a journey, told through a combination of long,
thoughtful transitions, skillfully quick mixing, and energetic double drops guaranteed
to get bodies moving and gun fingers popping. She is one half of Hologynic and one
half of Tex n Bass. She holds residencies with Boomslang Recordings (USDNB), Siren
Project (NYC), Proper Chicago, The Distinguished (CO), Syncopation (AZ), and THC Kru
(USDNB) and is the co-founder of El Paso’s DNBtherapy Drum and Bass. Tally G is also
on the board of directors for Siren Project, an all female-identifying collective
dedicated to providing safe spaces for trans-, non-binary, and cis-women performers
who raise funds for various nonprofit organizations. She has played around the United
States and is currently learning music production.

With very little time to prep for this sesh I just wanted to make sure I got in some new music that came out this week. Overall I relied on some tried and true older tracks to fill in the cracks and tried to just keep things rolling along. I'm still in my "experimentation with dancefloor DNB" phase as I'm trying to get in the mindset for some outside summer festival sets — I pushed it into that big room soaring vibe towards the end. This was an unexpectedly fun session. After a hefty work week I was feeling a little unprepared on Saturday and decided to sort of dig in to organize and analyze all the new music and promos and strategize on the direction this session was gonna take. A lot of the new stuff had that summer soul feel to it so I just let that be the guiding vibe. First hour was soulful feelgood lush liquid vibes for the most part. Things got a little darker and driving after the midpoint before settling into a stripped dark minimal roller type groove. Last 30 minutes I threw in a little jungle before bringing things down into some futuristic R&B vocal style liquid towards the end. Great turnout and interaction in the chat this week (We even had a Hype Train!). Really enjoyed myself. Much love to the LLL family 🖤
