Dutch artist HATT.D returns to GLBDOM, this time on a full artist album titled "Welcome To Paradise". The album includes 10 original tracks and six remixes by influential artists such Paul Rudder, Hurlee, Jeff The Fool, Dub Striker, Yann Polewka and Marc Brauner.

Ranging from the laid back vibes of "A Rainy Sunday Afternoon" and feel good house vibe of "It’s Alright" with it’s 90’s edges and hands in the air pianos through deep groovy numbers like "A tribe Called Jazz" and "Birds At The Lake" and the the jazz edged "One Question" it’s a strong offering with something for every taste. It also combines beautifully as a whole for a rewarding listen.

Toy Tonics head honcho Kapote jammed with New York born soul singer Kosmo Kint... and these are the three songs they finalized. 

Electric Soul? Futuristic disco? New Wave Funk? The songs have different vibes. Difficult to pin them down to a style. Ranging from soulful downtempo to more uptempo, almost 1980ies moody dance club atmospheres. Kosmo Kint, the New York born, Berlin living vocalist, has already been featured on songs of other Toy Tonics artists. Now on this EP he wrote most of the melodies while the music is completly of Kapote. Super funky baselines, warm, jazz based chord progressions, syncopated drum patterns and a quite organic feel. 

It's one of the rare Kapote releases since the album "What It Is" from 2018. Kosmo Kint and Kapote, both, will release solo albums in 2021. So this EP is a little teaser…

Toy Tonics presents a new producer team: Sound Support consists of two enthusiastic synth and house aficionados that everybody knows (in the scene): Lars Dales from Dam Swindle and Lorenz Rhode (keyboard wizard and producer genius).
Together they are doing extremely groovy, jazz infected dance music that connects the good things of 1990ies house with the indie disco of the 2000s.

Lars Dales & Lorenz Rhode connected through their mutual love for all things musically unusual. After years of having worked together on several projects, such as the Dam Swindle live show, they finally got around to making music together. The result has been nothing less than an avalanche of tracks, mostly made in 4 day coffee fueled studio sessions in Lorenz’ studio in Cologne. All reminding the big funk house tracks of the early 2000s. Yes a lot of Daft Punk is here, a lot of NYC disco influences. Larry Levan and Laurent Garnier, DJ Harvey and Masters at Work.. all influences on this record.

After their first two Sound Support EP’s on Prins Thomas’ label, Internasjonal, they’ve ventured out to House of Disco and other labels with a wide array of immensely enjoyable synth heavy tracks. 2023 sees these two venture more into house territory with releases on AUS music and Toy Tonics, two labels that have cemented themselves deeply into the underground scene. In any case, it’s clear that Sound Support have found its signature sound and there is much more of that to look forward to. Toy Tonics is the key label for the wildstyle house scene and Sound Support fit perfectly. Welcome!

APDEXTRA014 is about Social Distancing; this is the title of the four track EP by the newcomer Babsy, the Turkish DJ & Producer based in Barcelona and founder of Gruv Collective, a group of producers and party promoters. He makes his debut on the Apparel Music EXTRA catalogue with a cohesive, groovy and solid EP and the AM’s crew is glad to welcome him to the family. The record kicks off with AMY which is a classy and modern House tune with a catchy bass line that drives through the groove of the track. ANOTHER SESSION keeps the pace high with its dreamy chords, solid beat and the sexy contribution of a beautiful vocal sample by Charlotte Gainsburg. RETRO ROMANTIC follows the musical trail set by the first two with a rich dose of smooth keys and an always solid rhythm section while the closing and title track SOCIAL DISTANCING brings bright harmonies never congealing into patterns and a dialogue between a trumpet and a piano to take us smoothly towards the end of the record.
