Maksim Dark has established himself as a prolific powerhouse on the scene over the past decade - his instantly recognisable style being picked up and celebrated by some of the top names in
the game. The Russian producer burst into people’s consciousness in 2011, winning the ear of techno royalty like Richie Hawtin and Dubfire. Having released five albums (Alkapones in 2011,
Mechanica in 2012, With Bated Breath in 2013, My Time Is Fire in 2014, Unbroken in 2015) - plus countless singles and remix projects - he’s back with what is perhaps his most accomplished work to date.
Insomnia contains 13 tracks of the talented Russian’s signature sound - tough, shadowy techno that grooves hard and is shot through with attitude and style. 

From opener ‘Dominator’ through to Dark’s personal favourte ‘Globalize’ and other highlights such as the LP’s lead single ‘Loud
Rave’ and brooding closing track ‘Noah’, this long-player could be one of Dark’s epic sets behind the decks. There’s linearity to the journey and each track seems to complement the other. Drums hit hard, pitched down vocals add the edge, and his beautifully-designed laser-sharp synths cut through everything creating the ultimate soundtrack to the nights we want never to end.

With the sunrays heating up and the dark clubs making way for that annual slew of mesmerizing festivals, Pursuit brings again the newest installment of Wild Cards.

Kicking things of are frequent collaborators Rob Hes and LAAT, this time delivering a summer anthem, ideal for those sweaty days engulfed in sunrays. Ends Of is a melodic endeavor fully embracing analog warmth, real instruments and a hypnotizing vocal. A firm favourite in the sets of both LAAT and Rob Hes.

For the additional roster, Rob Hes has sought out once again a stable of highly talented producers all bound for the limelight. Filthy Kid delivers a stomper we wouldn’t be surprised to see on the festival circuit this summer. Lluis Ribalta brings one spellbinding syncopated lead combines with haunting vocals, surely peak time material. Black Odyssey returns once again to Pursuit, this time with Cosmo, a melodic affair like no other. Globurst making a name for himself with Aeronaut, the perfect debut on Pursuit. And on closing duties Cachette, with an out of the box ever increasing LFO extravaganza. Again a roster worthy of Pursuit’ seal of Wild Cards.

Having become something of a regular on Senso Sounds, the Russian techno pioneer Maksim Dark returns for another outing with his Energize release. As with previous EPs, Dark pulls no punches in delivering hard-as-nails, on-point machine funk for the dance floor. The title track sets out the vibe - a thick, pulsating groove materializes from the get-go, spacy effects float through and sick synth noises punctuate the journey. 'Oxidant' keeps up the pressure - a similar pitched down voice provides the counter-point to a bubbling bass led groove - Dark’s skills in creating driving techno with an abundance of space shines through. Final track 'Silence' completes a perfect tryptic of tracks - pushing the energy a little higher while maintaining the sonic palette of the release - a strand of science fiction techno that’s both timeless and perfectly contemporary.
