Doing so with the vision and style that has brought him into close quarters with Carl Cox, Frankie Knuckles, Steve Lawler, Loco Dice, Deep Dish and Louie Vega, dAPULEO has gone on to produce for the labels of Kenny Dope Gonzalez and David Morales. Never one to take a moment’s rest, dAPULEO presents ‘Laze’.
 
Call it what you want - a bachelorette party, ladies night or girl power to the max - the international vocal that howls at the moon and swarms all over the track visualises a female posse swaggering into the club arm in arm and taking over the place, promising a cheeky wink while threatening to kick your ass at the same time - when the beats drop out, they comprehensively fill the silence.
 
Set to slapping beats and a bouncing ball of bass, both standing tall for six and a half minutes, 'Laze' is supremely misnamed - try lying back and relaxing once that vocal sprays over you like celebration champagne or when surf's up. dAPULEO only needs these three essential elements to create a Mediterranean flavoured dancefloor feast.

A request for all the kicks, snares, hi-hats and rim shots to get wicked from Italy's Mattia Caso. The Momento Lab affiliate, a DJ since his early teens, comes to Clarisse with that special dancefloor sauce that bangs from Milan to the moon and back. Caso also has a happy habit of making the most desirable of dancefloor demands, after 2024's 'Bassline Up'.

Here’s the classic Clarisse sound, kind of retro, but subtly, knowledgably so. The stealthy ‘Get The Drummer’ is all drum machines plotting and scheming with loads of percussive fills and ticks firing in all directions. Bass is programmed to jack back to the 80s, and rap lyrics talk in code as Caso throws it back onto modern dancefloors. This one has the substance to go with the style, the muscle for the minimalism, and can nonchalantly kick down speakers.

‘80s Boys’ really goes to town on the drum pads, flexing the hardware on another beefed up retro-themed groove, like Caso has fired up his favourite old skool equipment and given it a 2025 turbo tuning. Glowing synth work comes into play anticipating the ducking of discotheque strobes from back when, but it’s all about the punch of the beats that keep Caso rolling and pumping for seven minutes of dancefloor pressure.

NYC’s famed SOUP (Support Our Underground Properly) parties were founded by nightlife pro Chris Love (SOUP, Stuck On Earth) in the mid-90’s, and were designed to bring together dancers who wanted to hear the best in underground house and techno music. Legendary DJs Andy Smith (of Portishead fame), Detroit techno hero Juan Atkins, and NYC house pioneer Baby Hector Romero were some of the first to grace the decks in SOUP's early days, leading into a decade of top-quality House and Techno events . After a short hiatus from 2006-2009, Chris Love restarted the SOUP brand, ultimately teaming up with veteran DJ AB Logic (of the Hoodfellas production duo, and the Smoke City Music label) and forming their Love & Logic DJ/Production project. Known for thick vibes, wild dance floors, and world class DJs, SOUP quickly gained popularity in NYC among people seeking the best in underground music. In addition to playing host to top flight monthly guests like Derrick Carter, Doc Martin, The Dirtybird Crew, and more, SOUP has some of the most talented resident's the USA has to offer in Chris Love & AB Logic ( Love & Logic), Joe Pompeo, Chris Patrick, Jenia Le, and in vocalist Born I Music. After years of dance-floor destruction at various NYC venues, the SOUP crew took a regular residency at the infamous Cielo nightclub where they grace the decks monthly alongside an illustrious list of guest DJ’s. SOUP’s amazing music and crowd, combined with Cielo’s perfect dance music atmosphere and incredible Funktion One sound system, have created what’s with out a doubt one of NYC’s finest House+Techno nights. SOUP also does occasional parties at the world class Output venue and in Miami at MMW each year. See you on the dance floor!!!
