“Firebrick was inspired by a young woman who I’ve known for many years. The song tells the story of how she hasn’t had the best experiences when it comes to the men in her life. Although she’s been cursed with this bad luck, the silver lining in the narrative is that no matter how bad it’s been and no matter how many men have tried to control or deflate her, she comes back fighting each time. Firebrick is an intense shade of red, so in the chorus I make the comparison between a ‘washed out firebrick tone’ and this girl’s passionate, fiery personalty which is slowly fading away by these men.”

LA Based Producer - DJ Cedric Ivory and Singer-Songwriter Ian Rivera team up as K!NG. “You” is a feel-good dance record. This track infuses the styles of electronic and r&b genres. The track was produced by Cedric Ivory, and written by Ian Rivera. The melodies incorporate a 90’s r&b vibe but still make it sound like a modern new-age record. We really wanted to keep the tempo and swing of the track consistent so that when people hear it, they can enjoy it and have a good time listening to it. It talks about modern love and how the interaction between two people can spark.
