After years of singing Baba Gurdas Mann Jis “Sajna Ve Sajna” live in front of thousands with a live band worldwide; I was asked by friends and family to do a cover many times but I always hesitated.

I wanted to avoid this topic as I felt strongly about a classic song never to be re sung. In my opinion, an original track can never be recreated no matter how many “re-mixes” or similar sounding vocalists try to make it sound authentic like the original song… A classic will always remain a classic, period!
 
This is my own spin on this short version of the original song of Baba Gurdas Mann Ji’s Sajna ve Sajna. It was a last request from a close friend, Mark Rodgers (RIP) from college who will always remain in my heart. 

He never understood a single word but appreciated the song’s powerful and traditional melody.
We used to listen to both Craig David’s “7 days” and the original song of Sajna ve Sajna in our college car park. We would have a sneaky drink with friends every Friday evening which would set the tone for coming weekend. Mark always used to say to me every time, after hearing these songs… “Wouldn’t it be mad if Criag David’s “7 Day’s” instrumental was remixed with Sajna ve Sajna”?!…
