Heading back across Irish Sea for Mix No. 16,  we welcome @oisn-rouxel. Oisín’s usual sound is somewhat fast-paced and techno-y, but for this mix he decided to dig deep in the algorithms and change up his style to supply an hour of electronic, breaky goodness. 💎🔨

From Bedroom DJ to playing sets in local Sligo venues, at the likes of Kilgallens Bar and alongside Sligo collective ‘Select’, Oisín remains relatively fresh on the scene. Oisín's sound really grew in Lille, France, where he had hands in a DJ collective, allowing him to mix in staple Nightclubs such as Magazine Club, and he even went on to curate his own night with the Lillois collective Incursion. In the midst of the pand3mic, Oisín has been releasing guest mixes for Irish Collectives such as Enigma, Subversive and others, using the time to explore different sounds - ready for when life gets back to normal again. 🕺

This week on Topshelf we have Nantwichs finest, DJ & Producer MAXIM. 
Founder of Firstcontact and having been releasing music for half a decade & mixing for just as long, MAXIM is forever adding to his powerful arsenal of weapons and has treated us to an absolute stomper for our 15th month.

With the 90’s Techno and Trance influence evident in his style of hard hitting acid beats whilst also treating us to some saucy synth baselines & some of the naughtiest drops we’ve had on the series so far.

A chaotically brilliant and beautifully dark set that never misses a beat and consistently gives you more, we’re truly blessed to have another fine Bristol resident on the series bringing all the sauce.

The Library LMD Presents Topshelf 015 w/ Maxim

We welcome Cork based duo Southern Division to the Local Selection hotseat today, as they provide us with an hour of power, featuring a whole heap of the good stuff.

We caught a set from the Southern Division's live stream a number of months back, as they provided a guest mix for the mighty Dali club night in Cork. The mix was full of vintage techno from the golden era, mixed nice and fast with plenty of energy. We absolutely loved it, so we had to track the lads down and request a mix for our series.

If you're unfamiliar with Southern Division, here's a brief background.  The techno duo are from the depths of West Cork and having played together at a number of gatherings and realising their shared love for similar styles and sounds, the pair decided to join forces and it wasn't long before they started to make a name for themselves as Southern Division.  Having appeared on multiple guest mix series and most recently playing a 2 hour set for Dali's live stream during the summer, we expect to see plenty more of the pair once clubs can safely reopen. 

Their style consists of raw underground and heavy grooves, taking inspiration from techno legends, such as The Advent, Chris Liebing, Player, Kaiser and User to name a few.
