SO-015 was slated to be released some time ago as the Critical Phaze ep, but for various reasons, never saw the light of day. The ep has now been newly mixed, re-mastered, renamed on the resurrected Southern Outpost label.
The lead track, Critical Phaze, is dark dystopian electro, while Syncom Data provide a dubbed out remix to finish up the A side. A short interlude on the B side makes way for Solar Cycle a long, hypnotic electro trip that imagines the endless bounds of space.

Two of Italy’s most formidable electrosonic programmers, Composite Profuse & Kobol Electronics were handpicked by veteran covert intelligence agent Wilhelm von Erwache to decode the encrypted archives of SISMI, the Italian Secret Service, and bring to life these clandestine events onto a 12″ vinyl disk. On the A side, Composite Profuse (Minimal Rome, Bunker) uncovers his tracks; Blackfriars Bridge & Patience and Charcoals and sets them to an ominous electro soundtrack that his name is synonymous for. The B side sees Kobol Electronics (Minimal Rome) deliver two sonic binary programs, Code01 & Code10 that will devastate both internetworks and dancefloors worldwide.

1 - Composite Profuse - The Blackfriars Bridge

After 10 years of deep hibernation, Southern Outpost's sub-label, Datadisk, brings the first in a series of 'System Updates' (think Direct Beat style bonus beats).
Southern Outpost label boss, The Sentinel has compiled 9 byte-sized electro tracks/tools programmed specifically for DJ's who like to throw down.
The updates were developed by 3 programmers, from opposite ends of the planet. The Sentinel (Southern Outpost/Datadisk), Sol37 (Southern Outpost) both Australian ex-pats now based in San Francisco and Drox (Analog Cabin) based in Sydney, Australia.
The tracks are on average 2 mins long, which mean they get straight to the point and are ready to deploy at a moments notice. For the advanced DJ, utilizing 2 copies will offer the opportunity to extend and remix the updates 24,310 ways.
The release was mastered at Dubplates & Mastering and pressed at R.A.N.D to ensure the release is at the highest sonic quality.

The final track, "Contraband", WL//WH is pleased to premiere, is murky high-energy claustrophobic jam cast in tinny cymbal-triggered, heavy pounding, rugged body-shaking kick-driven grooves, ominous droning circular low-ends, fluttering angsty jagged acidic strains, and a light shivering layer of heady synth strings, to bounce and release in a magnetic mind-bending dancefloor loop.

Letherique's Bella Ursa Recordings presents "Marked For Disassembly" EP from Lab Personnel.
Hailing from Croatia, Lab Personnel is a musical collaboration turned collective and label between many like-minded artists such as Goran Lautar (aka Neon Lies), Jasmin Mahmić (aka Le Chocolat Noir, Fiume & more), Luka Kurjan (aka Man of Cloth), Marijan Katić, Nikola Kos (aka Ikonal) and Saša Rajković (aka Zarkoff, part of Sumerian Fleet, part of Neugrau & more). Over the years, they would occasionally meet for and record lengthy sessions of improvisational music. 'Marked for Disassembly' is their latest output. This time, deep within the skeletal remains of an abandoned chemical processing plant, eight of their members captured the disquieting essence of a world suspended between haunting melodies and forgotten industry. Immersed in an atmosphere of palpable musical anxiety, their machines oozed up a sonic alchemy of experimental EBM where strange syncopated drums meet with eerie acid lines and gooey textures.

I created this album because coming from the UK, I grew up listening to drum and bass, garage, and bassline grime.  I later fell in love with house music but the underground genres will always hold a special place and will continue to inspire me as I create.

The Slickering

We are pleased to present "Evasions Fertiles" by Trièdre.

Mostly known for his work as LL321 under wich he released electro on Roulette but also acid-techno on Activities Records, Hakim Smokovich comes back to offer an album as surprising as the last one.
Halfway between hip-hop beats and electronic soundscapes, the 10 tracks will make you dive into a strange universe where you'll find haunting melodies and trippy rhythmic structures as if Flying Lotus got a record deal with Schematic.
Behind all the weirdness, there is a dense and complex realm, full of stories interlaced together, sometimes fun and harmless, sometimes much more sinister. Darker and grittier than Ballistics released in 2021, Evasions Fertiles is also less abstract and feels more mature. Definitely not for everyone, it will reward those able to give it a listen from beginning to end.
