Welcome to WELL DONE's release No. 6 - Spacelion! It is brought to you by Thalstroem and Grambow, who have been working together in numerous projects ever since they fell in love with sounds in the beginning of the millenium. After having gone seperate ways for a few years and ideas they realized that they simply had to reunite - because some of their thoughts just wouldn't work alone. And here it is: Grambow's longing vintage keyboard sounds combined with Thalstroem's well known, wistful trumpet melodies sweetened by guitars ready to take you away. Many thanks to remixes by Marlon Hoffstadt & HRRSN and Jules & Moss from france, who both created their very own and unique versions of the tracks.

With Atmosphere Records, we have returned from our summer break and instead of
opening with a banger for the new club season, we decided to start off with two
beautiful songs. Stereoclip wrote En Cascade together with Ben Gumbleton.

En Cascade is a down-tempo track with Ben's amazing vocals, supported by guitar and
accompanied by a mesmerizing piano riff. The electronica in the percussion and synths
just add that extra layer of mystery.
Free fall is a very hypnotizing track full of pads and stretched out bass notes. The clear
and present piano is the main element that keeps you going, alongside that
arpeggiating sound drifting through the tune. Close your eyes and let it take you on a
trip!

Halle’s dynamic duo, Monkey Safari return to their beloved Hommage imprint after being away from the label for more then a year. With their beautifully crafted “Cranes” release they will surely make up for their long absence in a big way. Even looking at the names of the remixers in charge will leave every music lover very excited.

“Cranes” takes it’s time before introducing the bass drum, a bit more then two minutes to be exact. Monkey Safari get you in the mood with laid back, morphing spheric sounds and teasing percussion. The heavenly, slightly pitched down vocal will trigger a whole array of emotions before the journey even begins. Acoustic sounds combined with sleek piano chords and well placed break downs will make “Cranes” stay in your favorites list for months to come.

Everybody’s darling Kölsch is presenting the first remix. Kölsch is changing up the low frequencies as he adds layers of synthesizer progressions and a heavier bass drum. Sharp percussion and saw tooth sounds are drilling themselves through over ten minutes of musical bliss, but always leave enough space for the vocal to breath. 

Wolf + Lamb are closing out the release with their funk injected version. The lively acoustic drum programming breathes a different life into the track and takes it to a whole nother level. They provide “Cranes” with an overall more uplifting feel.

Gilles Peterson-endorsed Bristolian, Typesun, makes his next chess move following on from a queue of primo productions over the last few years. "The PL", which featured the softly softly croons of an anonymous vocalist, was an undisputed 2013 jewel. "Water Song" was a swaddling pool of Latin loveliness; so good we had to take a dive ourselves. Now he's recruited MOBO-award winning jazz quartet Empirical’s Lewis Wright (vibraphone) and top guitar session player Miles James alongside a group of Bristol’s finest musicians for "Make It Right". Infused with smoke-tinted funk and pinned down by Typesun’s finely-honed production chops, it's the ideal mid-night foot-shifter.
