Young Guy was born in Joliet Illinois and moved to Decatur, Mississippi at the young age of 5.  Music  has been in stitched into his soul as far back as he can remember.  When he was a kid, him and his brothers would perform a song their father wrote for them before he passed.  Every since then, Young Guy has been involved in music in some shape, form, or fashion.  During his teenage years, Young Guy teamed up with his neighborhood brothers formed a group known as D3.  They put their money together and built an in-house studio in a single wide trailer. D3 had a high success rate in the local and surrounding areas but never got their big break.  Despite this, Young Guy has never lost his itch for writing.  He has ventured into the realm of southern soul hitting it with his own impactful sound.  His music and videos can be found on all streaming platforms and anywhere else music is found.  His hit single Take Heed is still reaching new ears followed up by plenty of new music.  Today you can find Young Guy electrifying the stage of a venue near you.
