Lakeshouse is a group of producers, artists and jazz musicians from Norway. Cowboy EP is their fourth release alongside various remixes and bootlegs. Their previous work has received praise in both Mixmag and DJ Mag, as well as support from Alexander Robotnik, Bottin, RSS Disco, Andy Buchan and Diskjokke to name a few. This EP draws inspiration from both gay house-anthems and old spaghetti westerns.

The opening title track Cowboy is a gimmicky vocal house-track propelled forward by a catchy arpeggio-bassline, underlined by snippets from horses, gunfights and clear nods to Norwegian space disco-pioneers like Lindstrøm and Todd Terje.

Native is the Native American side of the coin. It too is founded on a funky bassline but has a more tactile and understated approach than the opening track; It's as if it underlines the cultural differences between the settlers and the people whose land they stole. Part deep house, part italo disco, part Norwegian madness.

Closing it all is the K-Hole Dub-mix of Cowboy. This track feels like the marriage between the previous two. It's a percussive, psychedelic and dubbed-out affair where the original bassline is slowed down to half-time and everything feels like a neverending déjà vu. There's a KLF-like intro, haunted saxophones, sedated vocals and an insistent groove that demands your attention.

The EP includes 2 amazing remixes by Italo Brutalo of Berlin and the talented russian duo HIGHLITE! Tested enough in the last 2 years, feedbacks were amazing, real dancefloor burner disco!

Sent from a distant future on the brink of collapse, Bongo & Pusk are here to dissect modern rave culture and find the essence at its core. An alternative version of The Philosophers Stone, known to the children of tomorrow as The Ravers Rock. Without it, humankind is destined to a future deprived of kindness, tolerance and laughter. A future where people have no connection to each other, themselves or the planet they inhabit. Bound as slaves to the Hamster Wheel of Eternity.

Their mission started with wax, plastic and cracked code on old machines. Back in the late 90’s they were just teenagers with a shared passion for rave music, but turning 1’s and 0’s into vibrating air quickly became their focus. Now they operate from their studio in Copenhagen - an inter-dimensional vessel, where folding waves and time with a mix of classic analogues and modern digitals are their weapons of choice.

A keen sense for quality music and a symbiotic playing style has made them a mainstay on the Copenhagen and Berlin underground scene and insistingly pushing their sound performance forward sets them apart from your ordinary conveyor of electronic music. In constant search for that magic moment when the universe aligns and everything comes one, they have guested a multitude of clubs and festivals in Northern Europe and released on imprints like Sum Over Histories, Get Physical, Tonkind, Sofa Beats, Golden Gate Records and Compute Music.


After a recent studio rebuild, our protagonists are now looking deeper into modular sound design and a more performative approach to writing music. That and finishing a lot of works is setting up for much more to come.


So join the party - it’s a quest for a better tomorrow!


DROM : A playful session had created a groove, but it had no real direction or purpose so it stayed in the drawer for a while. Simultaneously we were exploring darker sonic territories and that unnerving feeling of having pushed things too far. Enter Juno-60 and a simple chord bending its way deep into our souls, and Drom was born. A celebration of the uglier side of rave culture and that ambiguous feeling of not being able to stop and enjoying it too.

Hungarian label Secret Fusion serve up a sizzling package that features some of the scenes most vital artists with Marvin & Guy, Jenia Tarsol and bosses Secret Factory all remixing a SouveQ original.

SouveQ is a long standing DJ and producer who has a string of successful collaborative projects under his belt and since this year has also been managing this label. He started his latest moniker as a live and production project in 2017 focusing on a synth laden, 80s influenced sound that draws on Nu wave, disco and techno. 

His fantastic lead single here is a slow but superbly heavy affair with percolating disco synths, gritty claps and searching pads that bring a futuristic feel. It is an arresting track that works on body and soul in equally excellent fashion.
