Rumore (@rumorechannel) an Italian producer has reduced bpms (as indicated by the name of one of his labels, Pitch Down), discovering a more than agreeable electronic rhythm, which draws from its connections to 90’s ambient house, the Balearic sound and the legendary KLF LP 'Chill Out'.
This is perfectly reflected by his most recent and excellent album, “Dela Natura”, which evokes the beauty of the place where he grew up: Venice. Rumore has set up label Discomaths (@discomaths) with Asturian Kresy (@kresy) and with the launch of his new platform Pitch Down (@pitchdownrecords), together with Orphidal (@orphidal), with whom he also shares another artistic project, LC12.

The set has been originally recorded in 2018 while he was looking for some records to spin at a Vimana party in Razzmatazz.

With releases on labels including Efdemin’s Naïf, Fred P’s Boards and Appian Sounds, o.utlier  is navigating the plains of electronic music with originality and quality. 

The Astral Industries resident is set to return to the DJ booth this August at Iklectic in London and Ufonic Festival in Italy, as well as launching his own label alongside Hems later in 2021 focusing on drone, live recordings and spatial sound.

It’s a pleasure to pick up our podcast series again with one of the most peaceful and elegant mixes we’ve ever hosted on TSS. Our ears go to Sydney - Australia, where Dan and Gary have started the phenomenal Low End Theorists platform, and its recordlabel Theory Therapy. From there they are hosting music that we’ve fell in love with many of times and that’s why we are very honoured that Dan mixed an hour of his favourites for us, under his known moniker Patrin.

"For me, this mix is one of the more emotional directions I've taken lately. I've really enjoyed selecting certain tracks based on strong feelings or moods in recent times, and having the chance to record something personal has been so rewarding and revitalising. Much like the many ups and downs of the last few months locked down inside, it was super nice to strike a balance between the sadness, joy, calmness, and everything in between.
