I love this song from the movie Prince of Persia; had hoped to find a video of Alanis performing this song, any idea where to find that? Especially enjoying the east Indian drum and flavor of the original. Am surprised you didn't add more hand drumming with effects,  would love to hear that if you do :) A good mix job, kudos :)

Many topics in the Russian language become taboo. Therefore, today I will tell you about a little but brave wagtail bird. Despite the friendly attitude towards their relatives, they are ready to die for their nest...

There is an African legend "Nzambi and wagtail". In this legend, the little bird Nchonzo nkila was not afraid to contradict god. God Nzambi created the whole world, but forgot to create drums. And the little wagtail Nchonzo nkila took and created drums so that her tribe could dance and have fun.
One day Nzambi heard the wagtails rejoicing and he didn't like it very much. Several times Nzambi sent animals to steal drums, but none of them returned alive. Several times Nzambi sent animals to get the drums, but none of them returned alive. Once an ant volunteered to help god. By cunning, he was able to steal the drums from the wagtails. The birds gathered a council and decided to seek help from the wise prince of Neamlau town. Nzambi agreed to be judged.
Then Nchonzo nkila and his followers went to Neamlau's town and awaited Nzambi. Two day's they waited, and on the third Nzambi and her people arrived.
Then Nchonzo nkila said: "O, prince! I made a drum and Nzambi has taken it from me. "
Nzambi arose and said: "O, prince! My people wished to dance, but we had no drum, and therefore they could not. Now I heard the sound of a drum being beaten in the village over which I had set Nchonzo nkila to rule. Surely, O prince, I who brought forth all the living in this world have a right to this drum if I want it.". 
The prince and the elders went to confer. When they returned, the prince said: "You have asked me to decide this question, and my judgment is this: It is true that Nzambi is the mother of us all, but Nchonzo nkila certainly made the drum. Now when Nzambi made us, she left us free to live as we chose, and she did not give us drums at our birth. The drums we make ourselves; and they are therefore ours, just as we may be said to be Nzambi's. If she had made drums and sent them into the world with us, then the drums would be hers. But she did not. Therefore she was wrong to take the drum from Nchonzo nkila."
