BEYOND THE INFINITE II

The Phantasm films are unlike any other horror franchise. Consistently amazing, and never failing to deliver a high concept horror adventure regardless of financial constraints, they span close to 40 years between the five films.
From the moment I first saw the films (binging the first four all in one night) I was in love. 
The theme by Fred Myrow and Malcolm Seagrave is iconic. Even if you have never seen the films, chances are you have heard this theme on one Halloween night somewhere. Over the course of the first four films, the soundtrack soars to phenomenally epic heights. The excitement I feel when the main titles of each subsequent Phantasm film is unmatched.

This cover is an ode to the theme, and I've thrown everything but the kitchen sink at it. Keith The Beast McCoy is present on drumming duties, and Ayx The Robot is here to throw his signature style down to give it some epic flair.
To accompany this, I've thrown together a clip showcasing some of my favorite scenes from Phantasm II.

THE OUTER RINGS

Here is a cover i made of the main theme to Trancers (AKA Future Cop in Australia) starring Tim Thomerson, originally scored by Mark Ryder and Phil Davies. I grew up adoring this film and its sequels, and the music as well as the film itself are a constant source of creative inspiration for me. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as i enjoyed making it :)
Just as a side note, I am not making any money off this track, it's just for the love of music and no copyright infringement is intended. If either Mark Ryder, Phil Davies, or Charlie Band want me to take it down, I will. I will also then use that opportunity to ask if Charlie needs me to score a film for him at a discounted rate (I'm sure he will LOVE THAT)

This is a cover of the track 'I Remember' from the soundtrack to Lucio Fulci's dark masterpiece 'The House By The Cemetery'. The music was originally composed by maestro Walter Rizzati. It is a personal fave of score of mine, with its over the top dramatic stylings, giving credence to a film that may have not had the same impact had someone else composed the music. I hope you enjoy it, it is nice and short, so you can check it out and get on with your day! FULCI LIVES!!!

This is a cover of the track First Chase from John Carpenters score for Halloween III. Probably one of my all time faves, movie, and score. It's definitely been a while, and while I haven't been uploading as often as I would like, I've been hard at work. Through scoring a short film, to hoarding tracks to release as an album, to then losing my computer, and nearly losing every synth preset I have ever set for myself over the last 5 years, I have been one busy and... insane boy.
This short track marks a new era for me, as I am now fully back on track, with a new found passion to put my sounds out into the world, and absolutely 100% ready to rock and roll again!

THE FORMS MUST BE OBEYED

A very long time ago, I attempted to con my nana into letting me watch T2 when my parents wouldn't let me.
Her response was: 'Well you can't watch T2, because you obviously haven't seen the first one yet, it will go right over your head.' So she dug out a taped off TV totally butchered version of the first film for me to watch in preparation for the sequel (which was to be shown on TV that night in what was to be an equally butchered fashion).
Even though I was easily 13 years late to the party, when those credits rolled up at the start after that unimaginably incredible (to this day) opening I was totally enthralled. That pumping anarchistic yet melodious music has not left my mind to this day. And I'm not alone either.
As an annoying percussive asshole who taps on things incessantly, the main driving beat of Brad Fiedels main theme to The Terminator never goes away.
I've tried countless times over the years to create a cover version of this theme, but the time signature is so out of whack that it usually just drives me nuts and I move on.
This time however, I stuck with it, and have created what I feel to be a semi decent tribute to the theme and to the composer.
I hope you enjoy it - listen to it loud!

Just a reminder that this is a cover version, and not to be used other than for your own enjoyment, the last thing I want is to get sued by one of my heroes... - SC
