The dance music history of Spain comes to the foggy metropolis of Seattle on the latest release from Feral One Records, a three-track EP entitled Devil from the Seville-based electronic outfit Space Castorz.

Every new phenomenon within popular music comes with accusations of being “devil music.” It happened with jazz, rock, rap, and now electronic music is taking the hellish title via its association with pure debauchery.

The thing is, Space Castorz have been dancing with the devil for over ten years, and they’ve produced numerous genres during that time including dubstep and drum & bass, now moving towards house and techno.

The Devil EP in particular explores minimal sounds, with a trio of cuts that grab hold of your soul like Lucifer himself is possessing you to dance.

Beginning with “Bombon,” an affected vocal sample comes across like someone is so enthralled with the acid-tinged rhythms that they’re speaking in tongues. Not that anyone would need evil spirits to get them moving to this major groover.

The title track comes second with an equally effective minimal aesthetic, but with an added dose of intrigue through elements like an atmospheric, affected saxophone. The lyrics are clear this time, proudly proclaiming “Shit is the devil,” but with a seductive tone that elucidates this shit is real good.

Then to close, the Devil reveals himself with a shift to tech house on “Don’t Like.” Everything about this track is dark. From the galloping bassline pulled straight from a death metal band’s toolbox, to the haunting choral blast samples placed at the exact right moments, to the ominous breakdown that lets you know the prince of darkness is about to crash this party.

EL DISCAZO (Mayo 2023) By @SharkMurcia [Recopilatorio 206 Tracks]

Pedro Priego Muñoz (Pilson); nació el 18 de marzo de 1990 en Cabra, Córdoba (España), cantante y compositor Andaluz. Pilson tenía 16 años cuando se interesó por la música y empezó a interpretar hip-hop.
Formó un grupo junto a dos amigos de su propia pandilla (Andrés Maldonado y Paco Serrano) con el nombre de “Santuario”, Gracias a esto tuvo la oportunidad de poder montar un estudio de grabación casero y lanzar su primera maqueta titulada Prólogo. Y tras está una segunda maqueta en solitario a principios de 2011 con el nombre de Re-Bajas. (Ambas maquetas no fueron de mucha repercusión)
El grupo se separa y Pilson en solitario como compositor sigue trabajando junto a su compañero Paco Serrano probando diferentes géneros tales como Reggaeton, Dance, Merengue, Mambo, etc. Publicó en el año 2012 lo que sería su primer éxito con el título de Calor de Verano. Canción con la cual se le abrió muchas puertas y en la que pudo demostrar que puede ser un Artista que canta y rapea. Su gran éxito en España hizo posible que se organizaran multitud de eventos en diferentes salas de relevancia en el país.
En el año 2013 lleva a cabo el lanzamiento de diferentes trabajos por cuenta propia entre los cuales vuelve a encajar en todas las pistas de baile con un trabajo Titulado Me Enamora y que compuso junto a Javier Declara (Productor de diferentes Exitos como Solo quiere Bailar) y en el que colaboró a su vez aportando una segunda voz a la canción Borja Rubio (Trabajos como Ritmo Tropical y Fuego en la piel). 
Llegado el 2014 Pilson sigue trabajando temas en solitario. Varios grupos de Uruguay versionan trabajos de los cuales uno titulado Loca se destaca en dicho país con más de 4.000.000 de reproducciones en Youtube influyendo a su vez en que se filtre la versión original creada por Pilson junto a Manuel2Santos y Javier Declara con el nombre de La Mañana. Tras esto forma un nuevo equipo de trabajo y se Lanzan diferentes trabajos como Loco (En solitario) Lola (Junto a Manuel2Santos y Javier Declara) entre otros.
A principios de 2015 comienza a trabajar en una apuesta diferente al que denominaron “Reggaeton Andaluz” Esta canción se le conoce con el nombre de ShaLaLa (Con Manuel2Santos Y Carlos Slork) la cual ha sido licenciada por la editorial Clipper`s S.L
Su ultimo trabajo más reconocido se titula "Me Tiene Loco" y suma más de 400.000 visitas, gran parte de ellas provienen de países de América del Sur como (Argentina, México y Uruguay entre otras).
Lleva tiempo replanteándose la opción de sacar a la venta un álbum completo del que aun se desconoce la fecha de lanzamiento.
