For the new era of Chime I decided to bring it all back to where things started for me and music - "The Shed". I was very lucky to have access to this summer-house type deal at the bottom of my parents' garden for the period when I was about 14-18 and I made great use of it during that time. It became a respite where I could retreat from the world and work on projects from frankly terrible YouTube videos to early GarageBand-produced music and learning how to DJ.

But as I got to sixth form, The Shed took on its most legendary phase - that of "shed parties", which became hugely popular with my friend group at the time. A bunch of 17-18 year olds getting drunk in a format that's basically a house party without the need to trash some poor parents' house - all while I DJ the whole thing.

With my new era shining great importance on this period in my life and musical development I thought it would be utterly perfect to invite a bunch of those friends back for the first "shed party" in over 10 years, alongside new friends in and around the Leeds music scene to record this promo mix.

One day I woke up from a dream with this vocal repeating over and over again in my head. I searched online until I found out where I originally heard it from. Once I did, I listened to it for hours because the lyrics just hit and spoke to me so much. So I decided to do a flip of it and pretty much finished it in that same day.
