Tribal Digs - is an ep filled with tribal and afro adventure. sounds that were other known bigger than the hot body records sound. normally we release a state of the underground but this high fueled pace release stretches a big mainstream (yet still underground) sound. after big beatport labels try to utilize sampling or congas in a way of a standpoint. hot body records on this release is trying to be only cool for what they can with a stellar tribal or other known percussive house release. Other Mamba is the release embrace of tribal sampling with spanish taste of latin house crave. Stanislav Lukoyanov, aka 5 Reasons, is a 16 year old Russian producer from Moscow. He first made hip hop instrumentals for independent artists before turning towards nu-disco in 2012. In his search for a new inspiration, he looked into his father's record collection and started composing his own disco tunes. 
After releasing several tracks on various labels, he is now presenting his latest production "Night Drive In Moscow". This time, 5 Reasons created a very unique atmosphere by mixing mysterious vibes with a real disco feel. 
The vocals by the talented American singer Patrick Baker add the final touch to this remarkable piece. 
The release also includes two remixes: one by the very promising Mexican producer Bronx, and the other by a major artist of the nu-disco scene, Satin Jackets.

RJ Edits Mix August 2020

The latest instalment of the Black Light Disco show aired on Monday 31st August 2020 on the number 1 house music station on the whole stinking planet, MyHouse Radio Fm. 

This was another two hours of super-charged funky joints and disco grooves to lighten the mood and soothe the soul. 

On hosting duties this week was our BLD resident and Spin City Head Honcho, Goz who got things off to a great start with a mixture of new and soon to be released tunes alongside some recent classics. It’s an hour of bass slappin’, foot tappin’ paradise featuring cuts from the likes of Tropical Disco, Samosa Records and Slightly Transformed. 

For the second hour, we welcomed Russia based DJ from Sweden, Martin Petersson for one of the most memorable debuts on the show so far. 

Haling from Portside Gothenburg, Sweden, Martin Petersson (aka MartinMax) moved out to Moscow more than a decade ago. 
He quickly gained traction on the local club scene with spots at Pacha Moscow amongst others. One of Martin’s key traits are his profound knowledge of music, which he combines with an imminent feeling for the pulse of the dance floor. Since early Spring 2020 Martin has been part of our good friends at Discoholics Anonymous and a residency on Hot To The Touch on Prime Radio 100.3 FM (where he came onto our BLD radars very quickly!) Martin’s passion is reflected in every set he make, which has secured him a growing following of dedicated discholics. We’re delighted to welcome Martin onto the show and know he’ll make a big impression.

Iry has been DJing since 2003 where he started playing Funky House music in bars & clubs in West Yorkshire. He then started to mix up his styles which covered Soulful to Deep House using only Vinyl. After a decade out concentrating on bringing up his family, he played at his close friends wedding last year where he played alongside the head honcho of Incognito, Bluey. Since then he's decided to pick up the records & start mixing again, and we're delighted to showcase his talents for the second hour.
