The first hour of Episode 49 is features a few exclusives, one forthcoming from myself, a load of new stuff I've just bought, a couple of classics and a couple of smoochers to celebrate Valentine's Day.

For the second hour I’m happy to bring you a guest mix from Berlin-based DJ Frederik Lanwer, AKA Almost Famous. Growing up with 90s hip hop, he gradually found his way to house and disco music through funk and soul. While he always had a passion for sharing music and collecting records, he started DJing about 2.5 years ago. What started as a gig for fun at a friend’s birthday party slowly but surely developed into a real passion for mixing music on a regular basis. Together with a couple of friends, Almost Famous organises and hosts ‘Disko, No Disko’, a recurring club night at Humboldthain Club in Berlin. Though bringing joy to people on the dance floors of Berlin is what initially drove his love for mixing music, he adapted to the current circumstances by starting to contribute to more and more guest mixes for house and disco lovers to enjoy, wherever they are.

I’ve been a fan of Fred’s excellent mixes for a while now - he regularly puts out quality selections spanning house, funk and disco… and this guest mix showcases him doing his thing in great style. Get yourselves over to his soundcloud, give him a follow and dive into some of his other mixes.
