This track is definitely an igniting fire on the dance floor. For me one of the most important dance tracks of the 80s. Unfortunately not as popular as other good dance tracks from that time.
When I play this, people often come up to me and ask what a Giorgio Moroder track this is. When there was no Shazam, this was a legitimate question. The Moroder beat is unique, similar to Donna Summer back then. Please play this as often as you can. Good stuff comes around way too rarely, unfortunately.

EBERHARD SCHOENER:
(born May 13, 1938, Stuttgart) is a German musician, composer, conductor, and arranger. His activities combine many styles and formats. Originally a classical violinist and conductor of chamber music and opera, he was one of the early adopters and popularizers of the Moog synthesizer in Europe. In the 1970s he traveled to Indonesia and incorporated musical elements from Asia into his own work.
He has collaborated with rock musicians such as Jon Lord and The Police and also with Electronic Music German Pioneer band Tangerine Dream on an orchestral arrangement for the "Mojave Plan" track for a live performance on a German TV show. He has composed film scores, videos, music for television, and an opera to be broadcast via the Internet.
He has won numerous awards, including the 1975 Schwabing Art Prize for music, the 1992 Bambi Award for creativity and a lifetime achievement award at the Soundtrack Cologne Festival of Music and Sound in Film and the Media in November, 2014.

STING:
Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner CBE (born 2 October 1951), known as Sting, is an English musician and actor. He was the principal songwriter, lead singer, and bassist for new wave rock band the Police from 1977 to 1984. He launched a solo career in 1985, and has included elements of rock, jazz, reggae, classical, new-age, and worldbeat in his music.

As a solo musician and a member of the Police, Sting has received 17 Grammy Awards: he won Song of the Year for "Every Breath You Take", three Brit Awards, including Best British Male Artist in 1994 and Outstanding Contribution in 2002, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and four nominations for the Academy Award for Best Original Song. In 2019, he received a BMI Award for "Every Breath You Take" becoming the most-played song in radio history.
In 2002, Sting received the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors and was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Police in 2003. In 2000, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for recording. In 2003, Sting received a CBE from Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace for services to music. He was made a Kennedy Center Honoree at the White House in 2014, and was awarded the Polar Music Prize in 2017.

With the Police, Sting became one of the world's best-selling music artists. Solo and with the Police combined, he has sold over 100 million records.
In 2006, Paste ranked him 62nd of the 100 best living songwriters.
He was 63rd of VH1's 100 greatest artists of rock, and 80th of Q magazine's 100 greatest musical stars of the 20th century.
He has collaborated with other musicians on songs such as "Money for Nothing" with Dire Straits, "Rise & Fall" with Craig David, "All for Love" with Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart, "You Will Be My Ain True Love" with Alison Krauss, and introduced the North African music genre raï to Western audiences through the hit song "Desert Rose" with Cheb Mami. In 2018, he released the album 44/876, a collaboration with Jamaican musician Shaggy, which won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2019.

Man Power's Me Me Me label presents debut release of New York-based Brazilian artist, Deo'Jorge this July, backed with remixes from Prins Thomas and Hardway Bros.

A well-known figure in New York’s infamous underground off-location party scene, Deo'Jorge also runs the international O/NDA event series, which moved to a virtual presence last year to keep people dancing through lockdown. A friend of Man Power's since first booking him to play a street party in Rio De Janeiro in the middle of the last decade, it seems only fitting that Me Me Me should get to present the artist's inaugural musical offering. His 'Robotic Souls' EP comes backed with remixes from two bonafide legends in the forms of Norwegian artist Prins Thomas and Hardway Bros, aka Sean Johnston of A Love From Outer Space notoriety.

'Sparking Plugs' begins the EP in Me Me Me's emblematic cosmic fashion as the revolving synths fuse delicately with the deep, swirling grooves before 'Do Androids Dream' bristles with otherworldly charm – floaty pads and exquisite drums balance together graciously. Up next, 'Pick Your Dead Self' continues the upbeat vibrancy with dynamic drums and dreamy atmospheres taking the focus whilst the prolific artist Prins Thomas' remix of 'Sparking Plugs' adds simmering arpeggios and chugging melodies to this space disco interpretation. UK's Sean Johnston, renowned for his work with the late Andrew Weatherall under the A Love From Outer Space guise, rounds off proceedings with beautifully throbbing sub-bass, classy melodies and echoing dub effects that provide warmth and blissfulness.

Deo'Jorge ‘Robotic Souls’ EP is out on Me Me Me Recordings on 16th July 2021.

Next up on File Under Disco, we welcome you to the modern Brazilian disco world of Processman & Cady who together bring a pair of South American beauties in the form of Adupé & Sou Baiana. With remixes provided by JKriv, Jutro Mundo, and Dicky Trisco.

DJ and producer Processman hails from Salvador, Bahia. A passionate and talented musician, who has played in various bands in his home city, a city famed the birth of legendary artists and as such, his heroes, Gilberto Gil, 
João Gilberto and Jorge Amado. Processman was introduced to Cady, a fellow Baiana and fine solo artist in her own right, by a mutual friend. The connection was instant, and they started making music that very day. 

Fast forward to when Dicky Trisco was passing through Salvador after playing the Mareh festival in Bahia. Processman drove Dicky and a group of friends to local hot spot in Pelourinho, and the first track he played in the car that night was ‘Adupé’. Dicky was blown-away by the track, it’s brilliant Brazilian percussion, the beautiful, layered vocal, the spiritual, boogie-laden vibes and delightful melodies, he was hooked! The second track Processman played was ‘Sou Baiana’. A record deal was already a sure thing, and they hadn’t even made it to the bar!

A year later and the release is ready to let loose its magical, spiritual, boogie vibe. NYC Brazilian aficionado Jkriv - the perfect choice for remixer for this sound - has delivered a truly essential, cosmic disco dub of ‘Adupé’. 
Dicky Trisco takes on ‘Sou Baiana’ , stripping it down and pumping it up into a rocking dance floor bomb. Finally, Rio’s Joutro Mundo pushes the original of ‘Adupé’ into a deeper, downtempo lush rework that’ll make those Carioca beach bars and kiosks groove at sunset. Further digital versions include Dicky no-nonsense, dance floor focused ‘Ruff Dub’ of ‘Adupé’ and Processman’s ‘Disco Mix’ which draws on more French Disco influences. File this all under Modern Brazilian Disco and let’s vamos!
