RNT are revisiting a few of the standout cuts from last year’s massive LP drop by Brooklyn band 79.5 with a varied dancefloor-ready remix package.

NYC based bass enthusiast Jubilee gets peak-time freaky with the anthemic “B.D.F.Q”, talented upstart producer Malik Hendricks delivers a sublimely deep take on “Feel Like Dancing,” label boss JKriv turns in a bouncey house version of “Our Hearts Didn’t Go That Way,” local funkster FSQ gets groovy for a very different reading of “B.D.FQ,” and Damien Harris takes the sultry “Feel Like Dancin” into slow-rolling new disco territory.

Previously famed for his work as Midnight Runners, Harry Septiandri has now been making merry as Munir for many years. Here he comes to File Under Disco for the first time, bringing with him the exotic and intoxicating mid-tempo madness of 'Tuhan' - a funk-break-driven slab of nu-disco hedonism rich in nods to the musical culture of the Middle East and India. Its' infectious and eccentric in equal measure, suggesting that it should make an impression on the dancefloor. Tricky Disco provides the accompanying remix, which if anything drags the track further towards peak-time dancefloors. The Scottish producer utilises a low-slung disco groove, over which he adds melancholic melodies, spacey noises, oodles of additional percussion and selected snippets of Septiandri's original instrumentation.

Magic Words, a new project from NY-based producers Eli Cohen and Peter Hargarten, make their debut on RNT with the Wabi Soba EP, a perfect summertime record. If the title track sounds a bit familiar it’s because it’s been in Harvey’s hands for a while and has made many appearances in his sets around the world. Based around an emotive and dreamy loop, the song basically embodies Balearica, dripping with Spanish guitar and wistful, melancholic harmonies. Toronto’s Jex Opolis turns in a massive remix that preserves all the delicate texture of the original and lays it lovingly over a pulsing clubby drum foundation. Already getting a huge response in the RNT crew’s club sets, this is a special record that’s got some serious summer anthem buzz!
