Micko Roche has emerged as one of Ireland's most unique artists and producers on the scene today already supported by Jose Padilla, Chris, Coco, Pete Gooding, Blank & Jones. Hailing from picturesque Waterford on the Southeast coast of the Emerald Isle, his unique blend of chilled out grooves and live instruments come together beautifully to create a soul soothing Balearic experience.

Darren Daz Dalton aka one half of dj duo Get Down Edits & the man behind all the Get Down Edits production work has been a music lover since his early teens & began collecting Vinyl back in 95 at the tender age of 15 by the time he hit 17 he was out playing gigs in bars & clubs in his native Waterford City & has been djin ever since.

Andy Allwood is a Soulful, Deep, Disco House DJ & Producer from Newcastle, England.
He was brought up on a variety of Soul, Funk, Motown & Disco music, which started his love affair for music with soul and eventually led him to Soulful House music.
Andy has over 20 years DJ experience, playing in Scotland, London, Ibiza & his home town of Newcastle, holding down residencies in both Newcastle & Ibiza.
Andy has DJ'ed alongside Roger Sanchez, Sandy Rivera, Graeme Park, Rob Tissera, Horse Meat Disco, Natasha Kitty Katt, Art Of Tones, Marco Loco, Ronnie Herel, The Journey Men, Jaegerossa and more

Electronic music producer from Waterford, Ireland, Stephen Richards dwells within the soundscapes of House, Funk, Disco, Soul & Electronic. His first album COLOURS captured the attention of DJs and producers around the globe and sprung him to become one of the promising newcomers from the underground electronic scene. Stephen's sound is a complex and powerful collection of classic instruments and samples.


. Jay Ru is pretty much the man when it comes to hip hop DJs in Waterford. He's warmed up a load of big international names including Jazzy Jeff, Andy Smith, Grandmaster Flash, Charles Webster and many more. He ran the much loved and missed Chop Shop Podcast which hosted mixes from pretty much all of Irelands finest Hip Hop DJ's has years of DJing experience behind him and in the last couple of years turned his hand to production with brilliant results. Charting regularly on Juno with a never ending stream of quality tracks.

Turn Me Loose

The legendary 1988 movie "Le Grand Bleu" ("The Big blue") by Luc Besson depicting the life of French freediver Jacques Mayol features my favorite original soundtrack, written by Eric Serra. 
I remember buying the CD as a kid after seeing the film, and have been regularly listening to it ever since. 

Among the many dreamy cinematic gems written by Serra for the movie, my favorite moment is "Virgin Islands", a short track starting with a dark minimalist mood lightened up by a splendid lush guitar riff, and evolving gradually into an exhilarating strings-led anthem. 
I've always wanted to remix it to give it a groovy balearic twist in a DJ-friendly format. So here is my take of it.

I strongly recommend a full dive (!) into the whole extended soundtrack :)

Day two and edit two of the '12 edits of Xmas' series and this ones a pure guilty pleasure perfect for the festive season. 

A lot of people are familiar with the Glossy edit from a few years back but for me the 1977 original is a far funkier affair and just needed a little trim here and there to tame some of it's cheesier elements.
