‘FINTY’ is the debut EP from artist practitioner, producer and DJ JASPER JARVIS. Created during JARVIS’ first year of being open as a trans/non binary person, 'FINTY’ performs as a conjuring of complex moods - a spectrum of reflective moments stemming from personal experiences. JARVIS succeeds in tracing a rich journey through their trans experience, festering moments of panic, hope and anxiety, whilst at the core highlighting marginalised language as the catalyst to re-wiring the precarious nature of being human. 

All profits from the EP sales are to be donated to JARVIS in support of their gender confirming process.

After a year of relative silence with the exception of a self-released track in collaboration with DJ Heroin, the Madrid based producer Loyalty XIX is back with ‘Catrialis’, a 4 track EP where he gives a twist to the conceptual and aesthetic perspective that inspired previous works while maintaining a more sharp than ever praxis of the meticulous sound design and hypnotic drum patterns that define his work.

Will You Let Go, Sire

"If you had to live your life over and over again for eternity, how would you live it? What does making choices mean? The contingencies of a life unravel my senses."

Throughout the course of 10 tracks of ‘Wiederkunft Eternal LP‘, the debut album by German producer thirdworldlabour, a digitally cold climate dominates throughout while a specific kind of affectivity is captured in each track. The sound design ranges from emotionally brutal (within) and uncanny (diminished spirits) to blissfully divine (a seamless float to another dome). An emphasis of using chopped vocal samples together with choir-like ambience often creates an ethereal atmosphere which subsequently is shattered by seemingly primitive and at times overtly mechanistic drum programming. Repeatedly Cryogenic synth melodies are paired with unwavering percussion that evoke connotations of fully automated, industrial production processes (many fathers/ancestral transition). Whereas in other parts, steady vocal arpeggios prevail in a textural landscape which seems to dissolve itself into non-physicality (disintegration II).
Reflected in the works title, the album draws upon the concept of the 'Eternal Return' which has its origins in non-western philosophy. The concept relates to the notion of pre-determinism and assumes that time and space are infinite progresses in which the individual is living their life over and over again in a never ending recurrent cycle.
Wiederkunft Eternal examines said concept within the expressive potential of sound and specifically tries to investigate the relationship between hope and despair as central themes in human experience.
