I wrote this song after my philosophy professor talked about the concept of "sublime" using the metaphor saying "fog above the water". Sublime is a concept of beauty so grand it puts you in awe, that sometimes you're so mesmerized you become distracted by the real danger of what you're really looking at. I connected this metaphor with sirens hence their beautiful voices draw in sailors to kill. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did while making it!!

Hi I’m aestrea. AESTREA is my musical project that I started when I was 14, born out of a love for alternative/indie music, with a mix of ambient, acoustic, electronic, and synth pop influences and sounds. I also try to incorporate my love for sci-fi and space into my music and overall aesthetic, which is why I chose the name AESTREA when I started out. I started producing, writing, and recording music in my bedroom when I was 14, and since then I have slowly built an audience on platforms such as Soundcloud and Spotify. My passion for music started with a guitar and a notebook, and led to synthesizers and software. Creating music is my passion and I am so grateful for everyone who supports my music!
