The barbaric bass and clubbing wordplay of “Free Mind” beats sense into the senses of the nonsensical, urging the complacent to escape the inopportune isolation of self-confinement. “Ay Yo!” blends tribal rhythms with boom-bap and deep house, remarkably intertwined with the foot-stomping energy of a collegiate step show. Its lyrics clap for the honor and respect of the fraternal Hip Hop culture. “Idol Hands” is the tangible emotion of self-respect, individuality and reflection over soulful pianos and drums as unpredictable as day-to-day life. From there “Groovy” is more carefree but not care-less. It’s the low-end theory of a whip packed with your tribe, riding slow with the windows down and system up. The trunk’s knocking, heads are nodding, and the vibe is fresh-air conditioned. The subs continue swelling on the thumping final track “Forever Everything”, a lesson in realness that hits like a close-range cannonball made of hard truth.
