For the third edition of Space Cast we have called on one of Melbournes/Narrms finest curators of all things experimental and ambient. Sam Marsh, aka Billus (@billusmoon)is a talented dj and producer who has been informing and shaping Melbournes music scene for many years through various projects like the legendary @lifeworld. Billus has a beautiful collection of mixtapes for unfurling, emerging, and sitting around, so we thought it was fitting to ask him to contribute to this project. Billus’ taste in music is like no other, his mixes are always inspiring and intriguing, and this is no exception. Lock in!

Space Cast is a not-for-profit arts initiative that aims to connect and support local artists through a synaesthetic exploration of music and art. Space Cast was established in 2020 as a digital offering of curated visual art and sound collaborations and has since evolved into a showcase of events and exhibitions.  

Space Cast has a focus on ambient, downtempo and experimental music and abstract art. The project aims to explore ideas of space and stillness, connection, slowing down and the innate connection between two these two creative fields. 

Space Cast operates to support diverse and emerging artists financially, foster a creative community and facilitate thoughtful collaboration. Each visual outcome is available to purchase online as a limited edition print, with the profits going directly back to the artists.

Space Cast acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we create, the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation and we pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
