Had a blast playing on the Mog at Airpusher's 10th annual Steampunk Masquerade at Public Works. It was especially gratifying to move from boucey booty breaks into electro and then flip the tempo for some drum & bass before bringing it back down to breaks for the next DJ. 

The is my 2+ hr warm up set—my actual set was much much MUCH shorter, but I captured this one to share bc more music is MOAR MUSIC!  It also includes several of my original bootlegs and mashups, including the first track.

"I got to play a main stage, earylish set at Unison Campout this year. I tried to recreate a special wow moment from the year before when listening to Nurse Noise giving everyone (and me!!) bass face but in my own bouncy style. I think I hit that stride about mid set! You be the judge."

What a journey this set was. Closing out Friday night, we have legendary techno DJ: Amber! As it was the closing set, this is a definite journey with hints of  many genres infused into the trip. This isn't your momma's chugging. You thought you didn't like techno and then you heard Amber's RIPEcast.

More about Amber:
Amber was drawn to hard techno thanks to musical influences from her family and exposure to the remarkable San Francisco rave scene. In the 2000s, she released four mix CDs on her own label, iamthedj Recordings. Her remixes were featured on numerous compilations. More recently, she has increasingly focused on digital releases and livestreams alongside live events.Amber co-founded NorCal DJ and Music Production Academy in San Francisco and was a resident DJ with the Sister SF collective. In the 2000s, she co-hosted :CODE, a nightlife and electronic music television show broadcast in the San Francisco Bay Area. About Denver Drake:
Denver is Santa Cruz area DJ.  He started DJing for family dance parties on an iPad and fell in love with all the crazy good electronic music that has been coming out for the last several years.  He has done several weddings and school dances and loves to share music and show people a good time.  New school house, bass house, tech house, g house, and occasionally breaks is on the menu for most of his favorite sets.  He grew up listening to lots of hip hop and punk and tries to bring a level of fun and angst in every set.

Ayyyyy! If you were at Breakfast of Champions x It's a New Day this year, I hope you had as much fun as I did! I book-ended the party, mixing video on the Mog at the beginning and DJing on the BoC Space Stage to close the party out. Huge thanks to the happy crowd out there at the end—you made my night and helped kick off 2024 with an incredibly positive boost. 

Here's my set from the party! As usual, I put a lot into it—editing, layering samples and acapellas—and I was also inclined to detoured into DnB for a bit. Enjoy!
