‘Another Time’ is the first single of the new album ‘Less Is More’ from Amsterdam based dj/producer Space Exposure (release date August 14). It’s a cinematic sounding synthwave track with melancholy guitar playing from Gijs Gerrits (Macondo Dust Band).

'Less Is More’ is the second album of Amsterdam based DJ/producer Space Exposure (Roel Janssen). It is the follow-up to his debut album ‘The Subliminal Serval’ from 2018, followed by the EP ‘Off The Beaten Track’ at the end of 2019, which was released on Amsterdam based record label Basserk Records.

‘Less Is More’ is yet another varied musical journey through space. The sound is a tight step forward compared to the more lo-fi electronic debut album that went in many directions.

‘Less Is More’ flirts with electronics, IDM, future trap, synthwave, techhouse, drum and bass and soundcapes. Dreamy up-tempo tracks alternate effortlessly with darker, intoxicating productions.

The album features guest contributions from guitarist Gijs Gerrits of Macondo Dust Band (‘Another Time’), DJ/producer DokuSo (‘KOAT’) and saxophonist Julian Main (‘Technology Resistance’), the younger brother of singer/songwriter Gerson Main.

The album title refers to the motto ‘less is more’. The simpler, the better. The fewer tracks, the more impact. The fewer incentives, the more productive. Go back to basics. But there is also a link to the strange reflecting times of a lock down because of a persistent global pandemic.

After the first two singles (‘Another Time’ and ‘Priority Pleasure’) ‘Less Is More' will be released on Space Exposure's own label Lynx Produktionz.

Space Exposure is the stage name of DJ/producer Roel Janssen. He has his own electronic radioshow Space Exposure on Dutch station Concertzender since 2015.

In June 2018 Space Exposure released his debut album 'The Subliminal Serval'. In November 2019 he dropped 'Off The Beaten Track' on Basserk Records. A 2-track EP full of freaky bass music.
